That's actually an insanely good weight considering the spec (800w battery, High pivot frame, heavier fork, not a light rear hub but Berd spokes help, long dropper, electric 12sp, 1 gravity tire). I'm seriously impressed and would have guessed 53#s/ 24 kgs.

I have 3 sets of Berd spoked wheels btw, and I really enjoy them. But definitely don't love them on the back of my e-bike. They just move too much, and I went back to steel spokes on my rear rim.

Although I'll definitely stick with Berds on my light duty trail bikes, my next e-bike wheels will be steel spokes both front and rear.

Thanks! It is very light for that kind of bike.

The goal was as light as possible, but still suitable for trail/enduro.

There ist room for another 500g without compromising the trailability😉

Lighter handlebar for example the Bike Ahead Riser

Lighter shock for example the new Intend Hover.

As you said a lighter rear hub or a completely other polymerspoke wheelset for example PiRope Enduro wheelset

Slightly lighter tires

Slightly lighter Dropper (Vecnum Nivo).

Lighter Brakes and Rotors (Intend or Trickstuff).

But that will cost a lot! And I owned most of the Parts already - so I am pretty happy with that build 🙂

Very nice build man. I am not the yellow colour kind of guy but still ;) Which size do you have with 23.5kg? Probably S3?

Ordered T3 model as well, might put the Intend Edge from my Druidv2 on the Druid Core and thought about the Monocoque.. Too bad Intend does not sell in in 210 by 55mm as of right now and the existing model has a rider weight limit of only 95kg :(
The only thing with the Intend is missing fender. Been having not the best time on muddy trails with it. You basically look messed up after the first some meters :D

Thanks! 😃

Colours and design are always a matter of taste. I like yellow and I like colour. Most bikes are coloured boring or so wildly painted that it's horrible.

I have already ridden the Intend on my previous bike. I find mudguards so ugly that I have preferred the face scrub all my life. But yes, you're right, you're always really dirty.

It is an S3. Yes.

💯 agree on this. Someone. Gotta say Ian has set a high standard but anything anyone has to offer would be much apreciated by me also

Let's be honest, it's not light!
The frame is at least 1 kg heavier than the Unno/amflow.

It will definitely be satisfying to ride.

They are lighter, that is true, but the super light versions of Amflow and Unno using the 600 battery. The Core is equipped with 800.

I would like to understand the unno-amflow frameset - forbidden how much difference they have, I say 1 kg minimum

I don't either. That's why I ordered a Core but it would be interesting if I could swap in a 600 once the batteries become available for thr public to actually buy

I’m
They look bloody lovely! Slightly regret not waiting for one but equally happy with my choice of a regulator.

Perhaps in the future
on the fence right now between getting a Regulator CX or Druid CorE. Wish I could try the Druid out to see how I like the high pivot. Love the idea of it

Idler wheel/hardware aside, Forbidden focus their frames for abuse versus weight. I’ve had a v1 Druid and have a v2 Druid now, and you’re gonna struggle to win a weight-weenie war with them.

There is less rearward axle path in the E versus meat models too. Only time I really feel it elongating is when compressing into a turn or a rapid speed slowdown. if you have a high speed chunky runout, you’ll glide through it easier. It’s not a dramatic change.

Been asking forbidden to confirm the mount hardware size for the shock for a week with no reply. Can anyone here let me know what it is?
