Such a composed (didn't think I'd ever say that!) ride from Ronan in those conditions!
Possibly the only rider to not put a foot out.

I expected more from Oisin, he looked very tentative and not his usual self in those conditions. But I have a theory..... I think he gambled on intermediates/dry tyres and it didn't work.

He went out in practice on dry tires. They were the worst conditions. What a lunatic!

World champs weekend is almost here! Champery track looks amazing, some great looking kit and bikes.

We are very lucky here in New Zealand that nobody local has picked up the rights so it will be shown free on the UCI youtube channel.

Big guns alright! I haven't even thought about my team yet. Normally only change it 2-3 days out so my mates in our work challange can't follow.

Just added Finn Illes. He’s cheap based on results but I just think he has a good result still in him. I wish he could find his form.
Double header of Jackson and Loic and some wild card female athletes. My theory is wildcard scoring in women’s is possibly more likely then mens where the usual suspects shine.

Too late for this year now but is there any interest in an EMTB forums DH league for 2026? As I understand the rules, Pinkbike allow people to be in two leagues alongside their own team in the global league & really it's just a matter of creating one & sharing the password among anyone who wants in.

I'm happy to set it up & ritually humiliate myself round by round with my shonky picks if there's interest from the crew.

I'll take that as a no then. Either way my picks were terrible, 46 points yet somehow I've shot up 1400 places. Felt for Ryan Pinkerton, that was a freak incident he'll never do again & without it, he would have been on thebox or thereabouts.
