Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.
Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.
We advise members great caution. EMTB Forums accepts no liability for any content or advice given here.
Yes I have gen4 smart system, send me a pm I will give you his whatsapp numberU have gen4 smart system? How much did it cost?
What website
yes, if I didn't have the US version, I would try it, but I went to be sure, I don't want to see any errors and 32kmh is enough for meThis looks very promising.
Just wanted to add my experience using this service as well. He completed the firmware switch remotely on a gen5 system. It took roughly 10 minutes and cost was 180eur.Hi, he can do this onlinehttps://www.olx.pl/d/oferta/rower-d...m-h-smart-system-700-zl-CID4371-ID16bWFh.html

I have been driving 150km gen5 with the new update installed and badassbox. I only got 750w update. Haibike dont allowed the NM update yet.Does anyone know if the latest Bosch Flow firmware update for gen4 with ebike+ has any extra derestriction detection? Specifically wondering if anyone is running it OK with a Speedi
what do you do connect the remote/mini remote to computer via USB C and install TeamViewer? and how was payment made? any idea of the options?Just wanted to add my experience using this service as well. if you dont have rim magnet go for VOLspeed Ebike TuningHi all, used to run Speedi on my old Cube but it doesn't fit my new bike so im looking at either getting another Speedi or possibly trying a chip.
Any information on the SpeedFun Furious Evo easy+ for Bosch Smart System? I don't have rim magnet and never had issues with the Speedi but that extra bit of speed would be nice with a chip.
I did look at that and I used to have it on my old Yamaha Haibike few years back but the price is ridiculous on it these days. I paid similar price to this Speedfun and Speedi back then for it.if you dont have rim magnet go for VOLspeed Ebike Tuning
£150 to make a £5000+ e-bike ten times more funI did look at that and I used to have it on my old Yamaha Haibike few years back but the price is ridiculous on it these days. I paid similar price to this Speedfun and Speedi back then for it.
I think Volspeed is more £200 when I checked. The other one is £135 and Speedi is a little over £100.£150 to make a £5000+ e-bike ten times more fun![]()
That was why I posted, to ask how good it was if anyone had any experience with itThat's the question, volspeed is good in terms of errors. The question is how good is speedfun. The last thing you want is to have errors and block the bike.
yes no differenceIs the US firmware in english and can you still use flow app to make adjustments etc.
Thanks
Any issues?yes no difference
based on how the system is set up and on user experience with errors, errors can appear even after 500km with different chipsBased on what?
I think people that want to de restrict are a very small percentage of Boschs market so probably won't affect their sales at all.I wonder if it has occurred to Bosch that if they make deristricting so difficult people will just turn to Amflow/DJI as the Chinese manufacturers couldn't give a duck, so far, for local idiosyncrasies.
You might have a point, only time will tell, but I know where I will be going for my next bike.I think people that want to de restrict are a very small percentage of Boschs market so probably won't affect their sales at all.
As per this thread, 2 pages back, it's using the US settings. Thanks for the details of having the app updated with a faster speed: "I had the update done"
I assume that the update is for a country that has higher speed configuration. Do you know what country the update if for?
