I emailed them and they assured me it works fine when i showed them the updated to the software
Mine is still sitting in the box
I will get round to installing it one day

As B biker knows i got my hands on a Cube 140 stereo so between working my nuts off to pay the debt back for these bikes and parts ive just about managed to get on a bike
I promise i'll post the day get out for session on one of the bike

attempted the hack this afternoon. Epic fail. Used a T20 torx screwdriver to remove the torx screw that holds in the sensor but it was driven in so tight I’ve damaged the screw when trying to unscrew it, and no way is it coming out now. In such an awkward, recessed spot too.

Damn!

Any ideas of a remedy? Take it to a bike shop and get a specialist to remove it?

If you cant hammer in a larger torx or allen key, then a screw extractor is needed.

So, I managed to get the Torx screw out slightly, enough to allow me to slip a junior hacksaw in between the sensor and the frame and cut the screw off. Unless I can drill what remains of the screw out, then the sensor is never going back to its original location - unless I cable tie it, I guess?

So, the sensor is in its new location and WOW, what a difference. But, the gearing is clearly not correct for the increased speed. Is there a gear upgrade that takes care of that, that anybody has done?

That’s ideal but, try a cheap 38T from the likes of AliExpress first. Worth a try for the sake of about a fiver!

In regards to swapping out the chainring, is it just a case of unbolting the pedal, then the 4 x Allen screws, then it’s just a straight swap? Does the chain need adjusting or is the diameter of the old and new chainrings exactly the same?

There’s a difference of opinion on this:-

@BeBiker goes for the brute force option to remove the original chainring

I bought the proper tool, a SuperB TB1069, and did it properly!

I wouldn't call some taps with a wood piece brute force
But If I could start over, I would just cut the small 34t in 2x17t, it's useless anyway.
The 38+ fit over everything without touching anything.

Not sure if anyone else has already done this, but the Brose app does connect to this bike. Problem is the app isn’t on the UK iOS or google store so I had to google for it and put onto an old android phone.

Can’t see a firmware update option but I wouldn’t want to as it works fine and might stop my derestricter working.
Mine came with newer display so can’t comment on if it works when changing it.

You can use an adjustable handlebar stem
But the first thing you have to remember is the reach starts to get shorter so if you can calculate getting a stem that is longer than the standard one
On my medium its an 80mm
Or you can use a Steerer tube extenion and keep your existing handle bar stem with spacer

What a great and informative thread. I booked marked at lest 3 posts.

Just collected my eST900 today. Its a Med ( I am 5ft 8" and debated the L but after several test rides round store settled on the Med) Seems I am very fortunate as Belfast store has both sizes in stock. I got the last M but they tell me more are due in by the end of the month.

I am interested in fitting a suspension seat post and Full cover mudguards. Any preferences please?

I did have the Suntour but that was only 40mm suspension post.
Where as this is a dropper post and air adjustable suspension post

First I thought it was the cheap plastic pedals. but NO.

if I just hold the 2 cranks I can reproduct the click sounds and I can feel some play.

I tried to remove the cranks, clean/greases but torque it up. But still make a clanking sounds.

Anything else I can check? - think the bearing are gone in the motor

Clearly, if within your 2 year warranty, return it to Decathlon. My experience has been very positive with warranty issues.
