Cube one77 2025

Hey all, my Fox Podium is leaking and needs to be sent in for service. Normally I would remove it myself instead of going through the dealer.
The only thing I’m unsure about is that the cables are internally routed through the headset. I had some bad experiences with this on my Orbea Wild, so I’m a bit cautious.

My question: is it easy to remove the fork and install it again on your own without causing problems with the headset or cable routing? Or would you recommend going through the dealer?

Thanks!

You could carefully remove the fork and while holding the headset assembly together with one hand, use some paper masking tape to tape it down. Or some straps. That way the assembly won't become a spaghetti mess.

Thanks. Did you try this on a Cube with the new headset?

Nobody, except frame designers, likes headset cable routing
I’ve had my ONE77 AT apart and it’s more faff but not too difficult. The worse bit was the x-connect light port.
If you look back through this thread there are a couple of discussions about options for changing the top bearing and or cable port

You don't need to fully disassemble the ICR headset to clean and regrease it.

Not the same bike but here's how I stopped the clicking/creaking ICR headset on my Rise:

-Took the stem and all the spacers off.
-Cleaned spacers and applied a thin layer of grease
-Lowered the fork to clean/regrease the crown race and steerer tube
-Slid the upper bearing out and cleaned/regreased it along with the upper bearing cup in the frame
-Slid the lower bearing out and cleaned/regreased it along with the lower bearing cup in the frame
-Cleaned the cables and applies a thin layer of fresh grease
-Reassembled everything and torqued all bolts to spec

All of this was done with the brake/gear/dropper/motor cables still attached and through the bearings.

The Rise top cap bolt does require way more torque (8Nm) than on a non-ICR bike, so I expect the Cube will the same.

Here’s a hack for you

Can that horrible headset be changed to a reliable one on the one 77?
mine is doing some clicking noise and it's driving me mad
Love the bike but hate these weird noises
tried adding some foam under that battery, adding a 5mm spacer on stem: still having that knocking sound around headset area :(

I also have that cracking sound from headset area. Already cleaned and regreased headset 2 times, did not help. I am starting to think the sound may come from other place such as seatpost area.

Sound travels weirdly on a bike, but if you think it is coming from the front then it could also be a creaky fork CSU.

Here's how to check:

The major source of the creak on my one77 was the shock bolts!

I also agree with the comment made earlier that the headset steerer top bolt needs tightening more than normal with these headsets

Agreed , creaking sound has been sorted out by greasing that rear shock bolt, headset sound is more like a knocking sound , like cable hitting the frame maybe ?

Have you greased the bolt or used loctite?

Hi everyone! I want to change my front chainring, but I couldn’t find exact information about which one is installed on our bikes — specifically, what chainring offset it has. I’ve seen options like 52 mm, 53 mm, and 55 mm. Has anyone found this information? I’m only interested in official data, not something from ChatGPT.

Bosch Gen 5 is designed for 55mm chain line. 53 will work but 55 is best. Either of these will do, although I’m sure there will be others
Hope e-bike Chainring 36T - Bosch 55mm chain line
SRAM XX 36T Bosch direct mount

I recently fitted this one

I’ve just bought a 2025 one77 however the update for 100nm hasn’t gone through. The power is up to 750w tho. I’ve deleted the app twice now with no change. Could this mean I’ve got a serial number issue?

If I remember it has to be approved via a dealer before the update can be installed, mine had to be but that was back in August
Someone will be along in a minute with a definite answer

That’s a bugger as I only bought it Saturday so I’d of hoped it was all ready to go. No 120nm for me tomorrow lol

It’s all approved.

It’s in a hidden section in the app settings that you need to go hunting for. I can’t remember exactly where but it is there.

Just updated my 2025 One77 AT to the new Bosch Performance Update 2.0 and it seems like this update is a similar faff to the update last year. First had to update the Flow app using the Apple app store. That installed the new firmware update to the bike, but I still wasn't being offered the higher performance numbers, even after swiping the Flow app fully closed and power off/on the bike a few times. I then deleted the Flow app completely, reinstalled it, paired to the bike again, and then there's a Performance Update 2.0 option under the software update bit in the bike settings of the Flow app. That option selected+installed and things are where they should be, with the 120Nm and 750W unlocked for all modes. Everything else seems fairly similar to before though, so assume the over-run slider adjustment will come with a future update (as Bosch have already said is the case for the chain pre-tension feature).

Yeah, seems like so. Last time I struggled quite a bit but this time everything just worked.

A complete faff yet again. Had to re-install the app to get the first part of the update. Once that was done the Performance 2.0 part was nowhere to be seen, so had to uninstall and re-install the app yet again to get that. All sorted now and 120nm is there to be had, but come on Bosch FFS sort it out 🙄

I checked and all works but it was apparently updated 3 days ago? Odd..

Pain the arse. Updated Flow app. Successful
Installed the update. Successful. Nothing
Closed the app and relaunched. Nothing
Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing
CBA any longer. Not good enough really is it

I am holding back from installing it. I don't really need the extra power. Bosch hasn't learnt from the last power update fiasco it seems
