Looking forward to the ride tomorrow ..
Wayne let me know by WhatsApp earlier in the week that the shortcut from "roughly" Threlkeld through St.Johns-in- The Vale on the B5322 is closed ( according to Google Maps ) so onward on the A66 to Keswick to then link up to the A591.
Won't affect Tony ..but Alan be aware .😉

Great ride out with Tony & Wayne today ..my thanks to the latter for the loan of a rear wheel as mine is currently knackered .really appreciated.
My bottle was nowhere near 100% as my leg is still not fully healed ..but those two were on fire 🔥..especially on the two technical rock-fest downs firstly into Seathwaite & the Walna Scar Road to end .
My favourite section was the great singletrack descent on the Dunnerdale Fells ..
A boiling hot day ..and the ice cream van which had turned up at the car park on our return was a great way to celebrate the ride with an ice lolly each ..
A few pics ..

Was there many walkers on the route with it being a weekend.
Don't do Strava ..
The car park was full by 9.30am..most walkers were on either Walna Scar or the path up to The Old Man ...but yes it was busy .

The last bit from Coniston to Torver ..ignore (!)
I had forgotten to end the ride and only remembered at the pub in Torver 😁

There were quite a few walkers but mainly close to the car park but once out on the trails just occasional walker, it only a 16 mile loop and 3500ft of climbing but it’s tough in places and throughly rewarding.
