Canyon Pathlite ON 9 - Leaky battery door and loose motor cover

Hi everyone! Newbie here, in SW Ireland
My new Pathlite ON 9 was delivered a few days ago.
I noticed that the bottom battery door doesn't fit closely:

...which allows water and mud to enter the battery compartment and sit in the door at the bottom.
After a short trip and a puddle or two, I opened the battery door and a fair bit of water tipped out (most had already tipped out in the pic below).

Apart from that, the top of a motor cover has almost come off. The white goo is some sort of rubbery adhesive.

Anyone got the same problems?

Hello, welcome to the EMTB Forums.

Personally if it was me, I'd get in contact with Canyon to get it sent back under a warranty claim, take it from there. Send over the images and they will advise the best course of action.
