Yeah they seem to have gone and increased the torque rating on at least the M510 and M560, I think the M820 is now higher as well? Don’t remember the exact spec of the M820 before. Assumptions is some sort of firmware update will be coming at Eurobike that’ll unlock a little extra power.

I'm not sure its not already been there for some time. On the Bafang Go+ App the max you can set the assistance to is just under 400%. On the BEEST tool logged into an account you can step that up to 500%. Equally on the older DPC241 displays you can set 9 levels + 10th level gives a " Boost" sign for 30 seconds.

As a word of caution I just downloaded a 48volt Bin file into a new motor using the older 241 display and a small battery. I set all the first 5 levels up as I wanted and yet when I checked this morning with the actual DPC245 display on the bike, all those levels were totally mixed up and I've had to resset them using BEEST. Sadly no 6th level with " Boost" for 30 seconds.

Maybe new firmware in the pipeline, i have not seem that yet though, @Dado anything on your radar yet?
Cheers
Caio
Dont know what is happening. If only re-numbering on a webpage - some kind of inflation or "new dyno calibration". ;)
@Neeko DeVinchi could know.

Or they selling from now motors with more allowed Amps. Matter of 5 minutes to pre-set and compile firmware.
Just they asking for the problems when raised torque. ;)

It is proportional to current, so 95 to 110Nm is +15% , so it should be 19A to 22A

There is a 36V and 22A firmware with K1 Flash (Oct. 2022 compilation)

Theres a mess in that parameters on a webpage. ;) M510 has written 340% Support level. But it worked since first FC2.0 up to 500%

So you have Support level in GO+ App? Some new app version?
That 400% can be restriction only in app, motor is taking 500%.

Boost mode was not just for disable speed limit? When you hit it just before speed limitation and hold then speed limitation was gone. If I remember right. But did not have any power advantage.

The 150Nm on the M560 is going to do some serious durability testing on drivetrains, like the 140 wasn’t already enough. That’ll be peaking over 1300W now.

Have finally gear with one way bearing for M560. After half a year!

Had an idea. To replace it with normal gear pair, with solid shaft. I dont care If rotor is turned with pedalling. And should stand even more power...

Sorry, for out of topic.

It is only marketing for now. Nothing more. Bafang scared bosch's last decision about upgrading power of cx motors. Thats all.

bafang propose newest M510 at eurobike. I doubt that they provide an software to rev2 who can delivery the same 110Nm 😭

M510RS MTB System – High-Performance Racing DNA
Weighing just 2.9 kg, it delivers up to 790W peak power and 110Nm torque. Enhanced by dual sensors and adaptive Sport+ mode, it reacts 33% faster to pedal input. Features include an “Auto Hold” function to prevent backward rolling.

Wow so it’s actually a new version of the motor, interesting. Now I want that instead of my loud and heavy M560 😂

And would add it is 790W electrical input. Bosch is stating mechanical power at the wheel. So will be like 650W peak.

Hmmm, what is dual sensor?

Do we need Auto hold? Will be just anather isue when it will be kicking in when it shouldnt and draining battery.

The m510rs might be a nice upgrade in therms of power delivery and overall motor feeling experience.
Who knows when it will be available.

Warning, top secret information bellow, please do not share the secret password :D:D:D for advanced settings.

borysgo2 please, what display are you using? I broke the C600 holder yesterday and I don't think I'll be able to fix it. Can you switch percentages/%/ to battery volts/V/ on your display?

Hi, not found in search, so ask here
Have you clicks (hard metal sound) sometimes when you want to pedal, no matter how hard you press, it sporadic happen..?
I think it from rear hub (I double check it), but now I have click more and more and it from motor, 1600km, m510, not disassemble yet.
When ckick happen no power loss or pedal drop, and it is not mount problem - carbon sounds more quietly.
May be it main freewheel?
Thanks.

They released new motor when I bought the second M510...
You will have a spare :) I've just got m560 and the noise is just horrible. Buying M510 from one guy here, hope that one sounds tad better. I don't need those 1200W in fact. 730W should be plenty. And if the noise is not that horrendous as on m560 I will be fine with that because here my ears are in pain. It's a nasty high pitched noise.

When 510RS is out I only care about the noise because once you will try e.g. Bosch gen4 or ge5 you can't stand bafang noise - well at least M560!

M510 is quiet motor. Above cadence of 70 it is getting louder, but it is soundtrack like flying moskito.

This is mine m560, do you think m510 is more silent?

I saw somewhere nylon gears replacement so maybe could help even more. Not sure if m510 has nylon gears by default.
