Bafang m510

This is an old remote control. I disassembled it and cut off the power button. He's still very fat and big, I don't like it.

Guys, here is another 43V firmware v2.1 for M510. It is for the new version of motor (with "i" at second byte in firmware, firmwares for Rob's motor needs to have there "E" ) - have not tested it yet.

anyone ordered from

Changzhou Victory Technology on AliBaba?
Should I order a frame E10/M510 from them?
Thank you

Hi Guys, I’m new in this forum and I want to share newest informations with you. Have you already tried the new bafang besst pro? It’s working for me with the 3.2 firmware and I can set all the currents for every pas level. Additionally you can set the acceleration and pas delay.

It looks great! Do you have a link to download the program and does it need a username and password to log in?

Finally Bafang!

Mirkoser, what else can be changed there? Cut off voltage?

Link for download is down. If you need new firmware you can write me on Telegram mirkoser1 and then you can upload it if you want. It’s 51mb

Since I assume there are no vendors selling MTBs equipped with this motor, that offer a testride - I hope this is the right place to ask, but are any GERMAN users that would be willing to let me testride their M510* driven bike? I am based in Munich but would drive to any place in Germany, assuming I do that back and forth in one day.
I am 172cm, so an XL frame might not be the best fit, but either M or L should be absolutely fine.

Just shoot me a private message, thanks to anyone in advance!

*preferably with a 48/52V battery and the latest firmware to get a good impression of the motors capabilities.

@Rob I think you will have to get rev.2 motor M510 to be well. I suppose only these new versions will be able also to change user power levels as Mirkoser posted.

my motor can install 52v firmware that Rob share, so is it rev 2 or not?

Yes.
Now I see Casianho and CiDi changed it on Github to rev "E" and rev "i" - it is according second byte in bin file. So you have rev "i" motor. i=rev.2 It is stupid that Bafang dont differentiate also in firmware filename!

Navíc můžete nastavit zrychlení a zpoždění.

Try this 43v firmware with my 48v 840Wh battery. Can ride for 110km 2000m elevation gain. Just used 1-3 level assist, no throttle. Very nice firmware like the 52v firmware. Battery will drain when display show below 20% left. And motor temperature just the same like when using 48v firmware. Thanks @Dado for sharing. For me this is the best firmware for 48v battery userso far.

So from 100%-20% of battery it is showing correct data and only when reaching 20% the SOC is not showing correct data anymore? So when is battery shutting down completely then? And from 100-20% motor gives you always full kw if needed?

Not correct 99% display last about 20-30km. Motor little power reduce when 30% display left. and getting shutting down completely at 19%.

In this case I will wait for thr new 48v firmware. Hope Rob is getting back soon with some news about it 🤞

For me with better assist, no waiting calibration time and little more range than 48v, I'll be using it before the good 48v firmware come :)

More range because of less power i guess 🙃. And if battery status is never shown correct it makes it hard to trust what your display says 😉
