Avinox SRAM AXS Motor power Cable (M1/M2 Variants)

Can you post a photo of the end of the derailleur power cable coming out of the M2S ? If it looks like this. Then it's different to the old motor.

If it looks like this. It's the same as the ol
Look at my pic! Don’t know why you think I‘m wrong. It’s exactly what you are requesting 🤷🏻‍♂️

They replaced every plug(speed sensor, derailleur cable) with Higo M Z405 connecters. The same as on the light cable from the PL

The new speed switch is blue. So are you sure that label is correct ? Where is that photo from ?

Can you post the photo of the cables coming out of the motor ? Both the speed switch and the derailleur power cable please. The ends please.

The mech cable I have is the same as the bottom photo :(
That's the old AXS Power cable, That is the Higo Micro A Plug.

Are you saying that the mech cable coming out of the M2S motor looks like the top photo ? I'm trying to make sure we aren't confusing the speed sensor and mech cable.

It would be very unusual for DJI to make the plugs on these the same.

This is M2 cables. The blue end is speed switch.

The cable furthest left with the plug is the derailleur cable. I need a photo of the end of that, without the plug.

Sadly it doesn't look like a Higo Micro A. It looks more like the Higo Z405. This matches what Pivot have put out. Which means the old cable is not compatible.

But without an end shot. Cannot 100% confirm.

If Ian didn't have a plug in his cable, I'd have the answer ...... :ROFLMAO: But he absolutely confirms the blue cable is the speed switch.

More confirmation that the blue cable is the speed switch, as Ian only had a mechanical derailleur, and so the blue cable here is definitelt the speed switch.

Sorry ive literally just put it all back together after running the cables in. What a faff.
It had the half moon blue connection above though.
Were both cables coming from the chainstays of the bike, blue ended ? That would confirm Ho's picture ...... And I'd need to apologise to him ....... Ooops ...... :ROFLMAO:

Cheese and rice 🙈
Again: The old cable does not fit the M2S because it doesn’t use the Higo A but M Z405 like the speed sensor and the light!

I TOOK THAT PIC AND THE YELLOW LABLE STATING ITS THE DERAILLEUR CABLE WAS ATTACHED AT THE DERAILLEUR CABLE!

I didn’t take a pic from the male end on the motor and I won‘t because I put it back together! It was a clients Amflow PX and I just checked for you guys.

So you can believe me (and a few people in Velduro and Pivot threads) or still try to figure out if I‘m talking shit!
Whatever you decide on I wish you all a great weekend and happy riding ✌🏼

You got a pic ? Also the part number of the Y piece, please.
Nope, sorry, it was just a theory as you can run the two and can't see how they'd do that without something like a Y.

I've seen an M2S with the standard cable connected, but that was some time ago so it may have been a pre-production version.

We believe you.

So a solution for those who have the old cable may be to buy the speed switch and steal the plug. Or find the Z405 plug. What a PITA.

just off the phone with one of the swiss sram distributors (also mondraker importer) they were also under the impression the old one fits. was big news for them 🫣🙄

If the correct cable is the 00.3018.418.001, as it seems to be, I could not find it anywhere.

So buying the "old" SRAM cable and a M2S speed switch, or an avinox light cable as I believe is the same connector but not 100% sure but easier to find, and build your own seems the only way to go at the moment and is a big PITA.

We also need to know which pins to connect.

Same. Cannot find it anywhere either. I can't even find a Z405 plug. So maybe the speed switch and old cable might be a solution.

But yeah. It's 4 wire, not 2 wire like the old one. So what's the pin connections ?

Oh BTW. The new speed switch is out of stock. Great .......

Avinox light cables seems quite easy to find everywhere. Need to check that the connector is the right one to be 100% sure.

I guess the clue was hidden on the forum previously .. the last update changed the dark/light mode button from the old style connector to the new style ..

One more thing with light cable is that it may not have the right pins connected and opening these plugs could be a PITA. What a mess

Smugly reading the thread after fitting 10 speed linkglide 😁.
Sorry i cant remember if both ends of the cable were blue and its quite the fiddle to take it apart again to check.
Good luck anyway.

The light cable looks correct. It has 4 wires coming out, so I'd say all 4 pins are connected, and I'm guessing only red and black are used by the derailleur, as it just needs a power supply. There is no data connection. The derailleur drawing power is what indexes the smoothshift.

I'm guessing you'll find a red and black cable in the old shift cable.

Smugly ....... my bike comes with SRAM Eagle 90 transmission. 🤭 But I've already bought the S1000 electronic derailleur. Might have to wait till the cable becomes more readily available, or take one for the team and try the light cable fix.

Edit. I'm taking one for the good of the forum and getting the light cable. It's got to come from europe, so will be a while. Bike doesn't arrive till May anyway.
