I wonder if it will fit any Avinox motored bike.
There are many Avinox powered bikes. My question was in relation to the real estate available on the Pivot Ampd and interference with the shock or perhaps even the top tube.

Ok. I read your question and also had a question.

We are testing the M2S motor before releasing anything. As there are multiple power harnesses for various bikes then kits will be built to order. Also space for both 252wh and 360wh requires 23cm height and 9cm depth from the downtube.

*Any aftermarket extender that plugs into the charge port has been disabled by new firmware which is good news!

Why is this good news? Doesnt it negate the possibility of third party extenders?
Back feeding uncontrolled raw voltage to a larger lithium battery is dangerous. Especially while discharging the larger battery. You are conflicting the BMS within and also fluctuating the motors supply of stable amps. Load sharing solution requires much more than a diode.

I am aware of that. How does it help you making extenders for the avinox ecosystem?

As my module load shares without conflicting the OEM layout and does not interfere with the Avinox system. Especially bms-motor communication.
It takes many months/ years to test and evaluate systems. Foundations in Microsoft power management in the 90’s has helped🫡

It looks like the Amflow extender plugs into the charge port.

The firmware would recognise it as an Avinox battery and allow it to power the motor. Whilst 3rd party batteries would be blocked.

I concur with Trailwatts. You cannot allow 3rd party batteries to supply the Avinox battery or motor through the charge port. The consequences of getting it wrong could be catastrophic. Hence why I advocate the external battery and inverter suppling the Avinox high speed charger, for away from Electricity top ups.

Yes, that will be firmware to act like a separate whole battery👍
Will only fit Large and XL frames on PX/ PR.
Not compatible with M1 or other brands using the Avinox system.

Not sure why people assume that everybody do multiple laps, many of us do and want to do long tours, not multiple laps of the same stuff, so a 10kg power station is not the solution.

Current firmware already contains support of the two battey.

The dual battery it is an Avinox offer and not Amflow only offering, as you can see on the Avinox web site.
In fact they mention that is compatible also with FS800 and FS600 that no Amflow M2/s model use:

So not sure why you are stating that is not compatible with other brands. Also they have gone public in multiple interviews that they will come out with a smaller one too.
Of course some frames maybe in compatible due to the available space but saying is not compatible with other brands using Avinox is not correct.

I don't assume that. I have stated that the Amflow PR and a spare battery is a better idea than range extenders, for long tours. It's how I ran my Shimano EP801. With two 630Wh batteries. There is no fast charging with Shimano.

But as long tours, where I am away from any form of electricity for the entire day, is rare for me. I run and advocate fast charging with power stations, when a power point is not handy.

Different people have different needs. If you live in a flat or your bike is stored in an outbuilding then removable batteries might be essential. For other people they're no benefit and add weight and points of failure.

The number of times I actually used an RE when I had one was tiny. It affected the feel of the bike and I avoided using it unless essential. Riding in eco to stretch range does most of that stuff for me. A big (600) second battery in a backpack really doesn't appeal but I'm sure theres a particular sort of use for whom it's ideal.

Likewise the number of times when a second battery would be much benefit over fast charging would, for me, be tiny. And it's a big expense thats locked to a particular bike. Fast charging from a generic power bank adds flexibility that carries on to future bikes.

Most frames with cell layout of range extender along with shock reservoir will not even take a 400wh.
Only release has been for amflow with 600wh. Not disputing the Avinox firmware etc or options.

Seeing the design of Whyte frame and Yeti makes it impossible to fit the current 600wh or the proposed 400wh.

Time will tell.

Indeed frame clearance is the issue, taking the RS 600 and making 400wh (assuming that they need to shorten it for the smaller Amflows but keep the same/similar height and witdth) would fit a L Verduro, but if as some rumors say 480wh then not.

Ideally they should offer a RS300, half the length of the RS600 as it would fit most bikes.

Any chance that would be possible to reverse engineer how the RS600 works and build a smaller one that behave the same, so using the charging port and switching between main and RX?
