Don't get me wrong here, as I have a Crestline 181.2 on order, but I really think the ideal e-bike motor is probably closer to the TQ HPR60 or the Fazua Ride60. Those motors provide enough turbo to bring a smile but are super small and light. The avinox even the rumored M2 is a bit overkill in power. It will be nice to blast up a Fire Road at 1200-1300 watts, but that power really isnt usable in a trail situation. Additionally, as most e-bikes become more tailored to DH, that kind of wattage isn't needed on 99% of rides.
Having said that, all e bikes should have an 800wh+ battery option though. As a Clyde, i burn through those smaller batteries in a heart beat.
Ibis really missed the mark on their gen 1 and gen 2 Oso, but it sounds like this new gen 3 will be just what they need. It would be cool if they came out with an additional option for the M2 or even the TQ or Fazua. I think there have been issues with the Fazua though.
