I had a order for a m2 motored druid in july but ive just pulled plug on a new m1 model as i can get it this week. Im sure the m2 will be a bit better but im not after more power and currently without a ebike

I hear ya, better the bike onhand than the one coming "sometime later this year".
I'm not after more power, TBH my Shimano EP8 on the phatty has heaps of power.
I'm just hoping they willhave sorted out the noise/rattle, efficiency etc.

I had an amflow prior to this but found the XL to big (fan of shorter bikes) i got a normal druid in s3 so hoping this will be a spot on purchase. Actually comes today so super stoked!
How tall are you? I'm between sizes (s3 or s4) on the Forbidden. My LBS were pushing me to the s4, however after watching a lot of reviewers who were around 6'1" or 6'2", they all opted for the s3. I subsequently changed to the s3.

It's easier to make a smaller bike bigger, but not so the other way!

Im 6ft4 on an S4 and it's about right but sometimes I wish I'd went S3

6,1/6,2 im right in between. I got a S3 normal druid and the ebike one feels the same as that. 42.5mm stem on both if that helps.

No actual reviews. Troydon from Crestline has noted in his pre order description the motor is "quieter" going downhill. Rob has also made the same comment in the crestline thread.
I asked Troydon directly before ordering mine. He said it “will be the quietest descending crestline to date” which to me means they’ve addressed the issue

They've made bikes with the Bosch CX Gen 5, which already has no rattle. Not sure how you can get quieter than that, but maybe they have made some other, non-motor related, changes that reduced descending noise further, to stuff like cable routing, etc...

They have per posts and updates from Troydon.

The rear brake hose has been rerouted.

Saw a video last night about the new Ibis Ripley SL, and it was mentioned that there were Ibis Bike not in frame that could not be shown. Based on who was on those bikes it’s definitely an ebike.

I’m really hoping Ibis is included in the Avinox m2 madness.
Ibis beating all the common North American brands to the punch with the Avinox motor would be a baller Ibis move. (Forbidden doesn't count IMO as it's suspension design is niche at best and polarizing at worst) Just like when they released the Ripmo AF (my profile pic!) and instantly became many people's first mountain bike. Yes I know the Commencal is also coming but do we really trust that "lifetime warranty" over Ibis?!

Would be sick but it’s gonna be Bosch CX gen 5, which is also sick!

Don't get me wrong here, as I have a Crestline 181.2 on order, but I really think the ideal e-bike motor is probably closer to the TQ HPR60 or the Fazua Ride60. Those motors provide enough turbo to bring a smile but are super small and light. The avinox even the rumored M2 is a bit overkill in power. It will be nice to blast up a Fire Road at 1200-1300 watts, but that power really isnt usable in a trail situation. Additionally, as most e-bikes become more tailored to DH, that kind of wattage isn't needed on 99% of rides.

Having said that, all e bikes should have an 800wh+ battery option though. As a Clyde, i burn through those smaller batteries in a heart beat.

Ibis really missed the mark on their gen 1 and gen 2 Oso, but it sounds like this new gen 3 will be just what they need. It would be cool if they came out with an additional option for the M2 or even the TQ or Fazua. I think there have been issues with the Fazua though.

I had the opportunity to test the new Avinox motor on a Berria Nexxen, and I can tell you that it didn't have the M2, but the superior model ;)

Definitely something being hinted at in their configurator...

when you have a 800wh battery the weight difference is a measly 700g and you gain the option to tune it down to tq levels, but with more omph, better sensors and better software and all the benefits of running an axs derailleur wired. easy decision in my opinion...
