Hello,

Can i ride without a phone in the pocket, once the bike has been activated for the first time ? (i don't own any smartphone. I'm using the family smartphone for 1st activation of the bike)
ie : Is wearing a smartphone mandatory while riding (on the amflow) ?

And another question :
- I'm trying to launch the Avinox app, for the 1st time.
BUT the app deny any format of the phone number (in France - number 0x xx xx xx xx).
I tried :
- +33 + phone number (with and without the '0' - without space)
- +033 + phone number (with and without the '0' - without space)
- +0033 + phone number (with and without the '0' - without space)
None worked !

Thank you.
1. Amflow PL can be ridden without a phone after activate the bike.
2. We recommend that you use an email address to register an Avinox account.

Hi Amflow team,

I have just ordered my Amflow - base model - what exactly does the sim card enable? And I'm guessing that a phone plan is required to maintain it?

Cheers,
Scott

Hi Scott,
1.With a SIM card installed, you can activate the bike networking service and riding data backup and synchronization by selecting "Data to Cloud" in the Avinox App.

2.the control display of Amflow PL Carbon can be directly used with a Nano SIM card from a smartphone.(Don't use IoT cards, traffic cards, and directional cards)

Thanks for the speedy response 😁
Can I still access the security features with using a sim card?

Cheers,

Hello! What models of smart watches with a heart rate monitor can be connected to amflow?

Your welcome :)
Regarding the security features, may I know if you refer to bike protection? If so, please rest assured that using a SIM card will not affect the associated theft protection features. Once the SIM card is installed, you can activate the theft detection function, along with the following bike networking service features:
1. Use the 4G network to connect with the Avinox App, allowing you to remotely check the bike's status and adjust device settings
2. Remotely track the bike's real-time location;
3. Monitor the movement path if the bike is stolen.

Hello! Thank you for your inquiry.

We're regret to inform you that, currently, Amflow may not have compatible smart watch models. Some watches may affect the Bluetooth connectivity with the bike or the controllers.
However, we will definitely pass along your request to our team for future consideration.
Thank you for your understanding

Afternoon Amflow team,
I was specifically referring to the bike alarm feature. If I don't use a sim card the bike can still be ridden as per normal?

Cheers,
Scott

Thank you for your explanation! Without a SIM card, you can still ride your bike as normal. The alarm feature will activate if it detects that the bike is stolen, causing the alarm to ring. However, with a SIM card, you can remotely monitor the bike through the app.

My story:
Amflow Carbon Pro, size XL. After 600 km only I have a broken spoke on the rear wheel, drive side. Normal riding, no extremes. Suddenly bang, the spoke is gone and the nipple with rest of the spoke rattles in the rim.. The same problem has already been described in discussions by many others..
Easy fix? Sure, if the correct spoke is available. And that's an absolutely critical problem. Used Sapim E-Light spokes are OEM and can't be bought anywhere in the world. You need straightpull spoke with 2,3mm head and 2,0mm thread, 300mm lenght. Apart from the mentioned Sapim E-light, no such spoke exists from other spokes brands. It follows that Amflow has a clear obligation to have spokes available as a spare part. The reality is unfortunately different, Amflow has nothing and thus makes it impossible for many bike owners to use it, due to cracked spokes in the rear wheel.. is this normal and acceptable? DEFINITELY NOT!
Or has the situation changed and Amflow already has replacement spokes in stock to replace them for affected customers? What is it, Amflow_Support ?
I think this is a really crazy story and it is imperative that Amflow support come clean on this...

Well you can buy them, they are standard DT Swiss HX1501 spoke sets, they come as a pack of spokes/washers and nipples.

Hello,
many thanks for good tip, these ones seems to be suitable.. But, I still think that original ones (Sapim E-light) hase to be available as spare part...

I built my own rear wheel with standard J-Type Stainless Steel spokes after reading about some of the issues with the spokes. I agree Amflow need to sort this out. A local bike store ended up buying a whole new rear wheel, just to get a supply of original spare spokes. But it did make them very expensive spokes to sell.

Hello, I'm having a lot bluetooth connection issues with the Amflow and my gps Wahoo Element Roam v2.
They work fine away from each other but as soon as my gps is near the Amflow I have to unpair/delete completely the Amflow from my bluetooth device on my android phone (Pixel 4a android 13) to connect my gps to my phone. After that I can't repair to the Amflow without deleting my gps and rebooting my phone.
Is this a known issue ?

Thank you for your enthusiasm for our products! Amflow PL is planned for release in Canada later this year. We recommend that you wait for our official announcement and purchase through our official channels:)
Any word on release in Sweden? :) (/Patiently waiting swede)

"Purchase through our official channels"
Could you please specify the point-by-point advantages and disadvantages?

We are pleased to offer two convenient options: our online official store and our authorized offline stores.

Online Official Store:

Advantages: Shopping online provides unmatched convenience, allowing you to browse and place orders at any time.
Disadvantages: While our online support team is always ready to assist, they may face limitations in providing immediate after-sales service for third-party bike accessories due to the nature of remote assistance.

Authorized Offline stores:

Advantages: Our offline stores are equipped with the most comprehensive local resources for bike accessories, enabling them to offer more thorough after-sales service for your entire bike. They can provide hands-on assistance to address any issues you encounter.
Disadvantages: Purchasing in-store may require additional time for a visit, and depending on your location, availability may vary.

Please note that regardless of your chosen channel, our pricing and after-sales policies are consistent across both options. This ensures you receive the same great value and support no matter how you decide to shop.

@Amflow_Support Does the Dji avinox transmit rider power via Ant+? So it's recorded by Garmin bike computers for example?
Amflow PL currently supports pairing only with ANT+ heart rate monitor devices and does not support transmitting ride power via ANT+ device to the bike. However, we will forward your inquiry to our R&D team for further evaluation of potential compatibility improvements. Thank you for your interest and feedback!

ALBERTCZ those Sapim spokes are availible here in the US from sites Wheelbuilder.com. And probably Prowheelbuilder as well.
I just ordered some Sapim Race Double Butted j-bend spoke for a carbon wheelset I’m going to build up. They were a whopping $1.52 ea. w/ brass nipple.
The straight pull spokes are also available as well.
They also have the “lite” version (1.65mm) but I wanted the 1.8mm size.
Carbon rims are a different animal compared to aluminium.
Good luck.
