Amflow Customer Support have got back to me and told me that the bike will not be delivered until early May. How is that possible, when I ordered the bike 6 weeks ago, and if I order one today from your website, the site says it will be delivered on the 28th of April ?

I am extremely disappointed with your ordering process, when I was told it should be 6-8 weeks delivery.

It gives me very little confidence if there are issues in the future, when this is the service delivered, once you took my deposit.

Below is the order form from your website right now, showing an April 28th delivery.

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I’ve noticed a rattling noise coming from my AmFlow motor, which I’ve ridden for about 300 km now. Initially, I suspected it might be due to the cables in the frame, but I’ve since observed that the rattling only occurs when the motor isn’t under load. For instance, when I ride over roots, the noise is noticeable; however, as soon as I apply power—while going over roots—the sound disappears.

I had expected the motor to operate quietly, especially while descending trails, as I deliberately chose AmFlow to avoid the kind of noise produced by systems like Shimano. Could you please advise whether this rattling noise is normal, or should I consider contacting my dealer for a possible replacement?

The Amflow PL's geometry is primarily designed for a 160mm travel front shock. However, we have tested it with a 170mm travel front shock. So, if you need a longer travel front shock, you can upgrade to a 170mm one. Please note that this will alter the bike's geometry: the head tube angle will shift from 64.5° to 64.1°, the seat tube angle from 77° to 76.6°, and the bottom bracket height will increase from 345mm to 348.8mm. Please consider these changes based on your riding requirements. If you want to install a different shock/fork, make sure it doesn't interfere with the bike frame when you're riding, then the warranty will be fine.

It is always good to check with the manufacturer but, for what it's worth, I have never seen a warranty with a prohibition on upside down forks. Many do prohibit dual crown forks, but I am assuming you are talking about the single crown upside down models from Intend, as you only need to go dual crown if you are trying to get in the 200mm travel range.

You are right though, that upside down forks probably increase stresses on the head tube area, as they have greater for/aft stiffness, but that is also true of any larger diameter fork, so if you got, say, a 38mm right side up fork, it would put greater stresses on the frame than the stock 36mm or 34mm fork, even at the same amount of travel.

Again, I want to give props to DJI for being so responsive to user feedback, as it took Bosch many years to fix their rattle, and Shimano still hasn't. Having said all that, I was unclear when they started delivering bikes, and if any actually went out to consumers before the changes were made to eliminate the rattle. I was seeing reviews complaining about rattle last Summer, and other reviews in the Fall saying the rattle was gone. When did you get your bike, and do you have any idea if it might have been one of the very early ones off the production line?

I had a slight very rattle on my AMF Pro from new lasted a couple of rides, shop said it will stop and around 50 miles and it did. The Motor is the most silent of any E MTB i have ridden, not had a single problem ,Love the bike 700 miles in now every time i get on it just blown away with the power and how smooth it is. I do use Turbo and boost a lot hence required new Chain and Cassette and 370 Miles. My S Works used to last around double that bust worth the cost for fun on the AMFLW

On such downshifts I usually backpedal and pause to allow the overrun to almost stop, to avoid chain snatch. In those moments - before I pedal on again - when the clutch is thus not engaged - I can get a rattle. But otherwise, no rattle.

I got my Bike on Monday, ton of fun until today. Suddenly got the worst rattle one can imagine. It feels like the whole bike is going to fall apart..seriously something is really wrong with the DriveUnit.

Could you please let us know if this problem started happening just yesterday or has it been ongoing? If it’s a new issue, you might want to try removing the crank and checking if there’s any looseness or slipping between the crank and the motor shaft. If you find no issues there, reinstall the crank to see if this improves the situation. Please note that the crank removal and installation requires 8mm Hex wrench only, DO NOT use 10mm Hex wrench on the outer crank bolt cap.

As I do not have a action cam and it is only noticeable when driving over roots or rocks I have no way to take a video.

I had this rattle since the beginning. Took me some time to pinpoint the rattle. First thing I thought of was the cables rattling to the frame. Put some churos around the cables and I'd didn't make a difference.
I bought the first bike from my dealer in November last year.

Ha… ‘in a quiet environment’ is impossible.

Look it’s no biggie, the odd rattle when the clutch is slowly being re-engaged while battering down chunder at warp speed.

Really, the motor is so far superb. No issue from me.

In fact they were so tight, while trying to remove the non chainring side crank, the the threads stripped as shown in attached pictures. while trying to use the bolts from the crankside to get i off it stripped the threads too. Crank is off. In Case someone else is running into this Problem. You need a Rotor Puller M27x1.0mm left-hand thread. The driver is not long enough to push on the Motorshaft, so you have to modify it like shown in the pics.

thanks for your reply. i think anyone knows how to remove cranks with a self extracting system. its straight forward. ....in my case the threads of the Mx27 Bolt stripped right off. compared to other self extracting systems its a bit flimsy.

Bike is running mint so far, but i found out roughly since the latest update the temperature measurements on the display are not measured anymore (current, min, max). Only " - " is shown in the temperature section whereas in my Avinox App, i can see motor and battery temperature being measured.

Already tried removing and adding custom screens, restarting, resetting, disconnecting the display cable - no success. I remember the temp being displayed last year before the update.

Not a vital function i need but i wanted to inform. Could be a software bug - could be a defect of my sensors.

I am sorry that an adjusting angle headset is not supported. Amflow's headset is uniquely designed in-house, with bearings meeting a universal spec (40mm x 52mm x 7mm, 45°/45°). Hence, they’re not compatible with third-party headset replacements. Can i ride without a phone in the pocket, once the bike has been activated for the first time ? (i don't own any smartphone. I'm using the family smartphone for 1st activation of the bike)
ie : Is wearing a smartphone mandatory while riding (on the amflow) ?

- I'm trying to launch the Avinox app, for the 1st time.
BUT the app deny any format of the phone number (in France - number 0x xx xx xx xx).
