Here’s a new issue. Yesterday during a longish ride (including some loose rocky trails and steep forest sections) a rear triangle pivot bolt…. Just unscrewed itself and left the chat. I started hearing tyre rub under compression, similar to what you hear when there’s a good bit of mud or a stick stuck somewhere. I looked, couldn’t identify anything, and was in the middle of the forest, so had to continue down.
I was lucky that there’s a small bike repair shop in the village at the bottom; took us like 10 minutes to figure it out -noticed the bolt gone, so under compression the wheel would go sideways and rub the inside of the frame. Results: the tyre rubbed through the Ridewrap, then through the paint, all the way down to raw carbon :/
VERY not happy - lucky I didn’t crash and hurt myself. The bike has 250km on it, mostly pedaling uphill on smooth tarmac to get me to the trails, pretty much new. Did they ran out of Loctite in the factory? Or was the torque wrench missing?
I sent a ( somewhat angry) warranty claim
