Do you realize you are voiding Spesh warranty with those forks on Levo? Nice bike though ...

yes just adjust shuttle mode to whatever and use that as 4th setting
it doesn't work, unless I'm missing something, I tried making Turbo 75 and Shuttle 100 but Shuttle seems to default to whatever Turbo is.

Again: shuttle will affect all 3 modes and cannot be used as 4th setting, @paquo post just doesn't make any sense ...

you are correct, however for a brief moment all was beautiful in my world. I have emailed specialized with the suggestion that they do an update that will allow shuttle to be separate from turbo

Shuttle is not designed to be 4th setting/mode, so I would just forget about it ... The only thing which makes sense to me and maybe it is even doable by @Specialized Rider Care is if they could change S-button to always put you in 100/100 support (and maybe red leds, for super turbo mode :ROFLMAO:) , and then if you set turbo mode to something less than 100/100 you can have 4 different modes ... I now litteraly never use S button so this would be a feature upgrade and if someone uses this S-button now it can still be used in a same way as now if you just set turbo mode to 100/100 ...

this was exactly my thought, I was led to understand that the S button was a default to 100 and that I could then set turbo to say... 75... but nope, it ain't that way

Nice build mate. Did you try the fork at 160 or go straight to 170? I went to 170 and found the front end grip reduced noticeably and had to really get over the front to find grip which is fine for going flat out but got tiresome pretty quickly for normal riding. Changed back to 160 and for me balance was restored.
Keen for your feedback on the EXT too. I'm waiting on one for my normal bike and if its as good as they say I'll consider one for the Levo too.

Exactly it’s pretty useless as is

Gah, typical. It seems my bargain rush purchase will not be such a bargain after all. New hose and fittings but of course, the newly purchased Guide RS’s have different brackets, so I’m gonna need new brackets too, and probably a bleedin’ bleeding kit.

Thieves rush in where fools fear to tread.

I don't see the need for replacing brackets/adapters if you keep same rotors. Maybe add/remove cup washers depending if calipers are CPS or standard.

Looks like I just need a pair of the matchmaker X clamps to hang the shifter and dropper levers from.
Can I not just re-use the existing brake hose fittings that came on the 2nd hand Guides, on the new hoses?

Generally olives are not reusable, they may still work (seal the fitting) but since they are not expensive and do a critical job, you should always install new olives.

Yes, I ran a 160mm air shaft beforehand with the 2020 debon air piston which was more like 150/155 due to the negative air issue with the fork being pulled down slightly. When I purchased the 2021 piston, I opted for the 170mm shaft to give it a whirl, at the same time I fitted the 2.1 charger damper from my other bike. I ran this setup for a while which was good, allthough I can see where you are coming from regarding the front end grip issue. I'm running 40mm rise renthal bars which did feel like I was a little too high, I have since dropped the stack height on the stem slightly which has also gave me a little more reach which I don't mind being 6ft3, this has made a noticable good difference. I'm running a 550lb spring on the Ext shock (80kg kitted rider), after a couple of setup runs it was noticeably better over the deluxe select which is expected, I ran a coil shock on my nomad previously and prefer the feel of one over air sprung shocks. I tend to ride a lot of steep and technical tracks which this bike feels comfortable with, if I was riding general trail center/ singletrack type tracks more often then I would have probably left the 160mm shaft in.

Nipping back to the brake swap - Level T for Guide RS.
Having disassembled the 2nd hand Guide RS's, it occurs to me that I can in fact use the existing rear brake hose in situ.

If I take what was the front caliper and install it to rear, then the existing hose can screw right in at both ends, albeit with new rubber olives.
Similarly the front....

Then all I need are the olives and a bleeding edge bleed toolkit.
Is this right or am I missing something fundamental?

Also, am I right in thinking that the Level T rear is a single piston, on one side of the caliper only, not an opposing pair, and the front Level T is a double piston?
The Guides are 4 pistons each, two opposing pairs and have better "internals" despite the front Level T looking identical?

just picked up my 2nd 2020 levo last weekend but in a M instead of a L (which i currently have) woot!

Time for some mods, MT7's, fenders (f+r) , 36t, saddle, grips, and tires (eddy current)

Or

Find someone willing to trade for an SL...... :)

As well as an olive, don't you need a hose barb? Granted you can reuse the old one but it can be easily overlooked.

I was thinking that both ends just unscrew from the Level T lever and caliper, and screw back into the Guides. I wouldn't actually be taking any hose parts apart, or cutting new hose which would require the barb and sleeve, unless those are deformable parts like the copper washers on car brake banjos?

I was transferring a Level T brake on my bio hardtail after a frame swap and had to replace the olive. There was no barb and none shown in the manual but my LBS insisted I need one so donated it. Just thought I'd mention it.

Hi all,

I picked up my new 2020 Turbo Levo last week, iv been making good use of the nice weather in the UK by doing some long trips and also some high climbs in the Scottish mountains.

Today I was climbing for a prolonged period and checked my "Motor Temperature", that was at 51 Degrees. after my descent, I checked again and it was around 30 Degrees.

Does anyone know what temperature is too high, and we should think about having a break to cool it down?

Maybe @Specialized Rider Care?

Thanks in advance

I don’t actually know how hot is too hot but you could put your hand in water at 51 deg and it wouldn’t be painful. Ergo, a leccy motor at 51 is probably fine.
