I got a pair of Oakley Radar Advancers for Christmas, they have this lever on the nose bridge that tilts the lenses outwards which stops fogging when stood still, they seem to work pretty well so far.
Have you also considered a Megneg kit? Could be perfect for your needs and low cost in comparison to a new shock. Plenty of articles and reviews out there that explain in great detail how is works, but basically it improves midstroke support.
Walk mode was more like run mode originally, then they tweaked it with latest firmware and and it's more like sleep mode?
It's nothing that you are doing wrong, just need to wait for another firmware revision (is that better than update?) to address it.
I did both to my 2020 comp. Both good noticeable upgrades, but note that with the megneg and my overall ride weight of 95kg, I have have to get 320psi in it to get 30% sag which meant having to get a shock pump that went above 300 psi. It does make setting up the megneg and experimenting with...
Yeah I've been wanting to find the off piste stuff in FoD as well as like Rodger I've ridden Cannop loads. Can't make tomorrow but definitely soon if that's ok ?
I was at Cymcarn yesterday and twice last week, love the place. Did both Cafall and Twrch and Kaiser (those drops are mint). Will def be in touch as heading over next week as being furloughed over Christmas from tomorrow (what a shame!) You about in the week at all?
I had the same feeling when I first got my Levo with the RE's being vague and spongy. Reading that they're old codes I persevered and bled them, installed UBC Ematrix pads and they work a treat now. I did go on to swap the levers out for RSC's for some extra adjustment and better feel as well...
Managed to get into mine, but like Kenny B I marked the collar. I can live with that as it's now cleaned up and working well. Used the pipe wrench and inner tube trick. I did try a jubilee clip as well but it just wouldn't bite for me. Appreciate all the tips.
If that's legite then it's the lowest effort listing I've ever seen. Something odd for sure though as it's not even direct photos.
Its got 10 bids as well!
I use a mixture of Trail Forks, All Trails and Komoot. There's some overlapping data of course, but depending on where you are in the world there's often a unique trail on each one.
Thanks for the heads up on warranty. Mines 11 months old now so guess ok to have a go. Shit design if you ask me and even shitter terms of warranty if you can't even open the top to clean it. If it fails I'll def get a different model, the one up looks promising, you'll have to let us know how...
Hey Loe, just tackling this myself and saw this thread. I actually broke a strap wrench on it already and was about to give up until I saw your comment. Having trouble visualising your suggestion though (sorry if being dumb). So you are putting some inner tube around the collar then a jubilee...
I use a combo of all trails, trail forks and komoot. They all fail to pick up trails in certain local areas though so I haven't found a perfect app.
One thing I like about all trails is a feature called life line which sends frequent live updates of your ride to selected contacts, great when solo.
Tech wash doesn't fully reproof according to Nikwax, spoke to a rep who said you need to wash first with tech wash then wash again with tx direct.
I've done this process over the weekend and have a ride planned this week with wet weather on the way so can test it.
