Pre-order starts next month - Next Crestline Avinox frame set

I wish cane creek would re release the ee-wings in a 155mm for the ISIS crank. They’ve said they dropped them because there are too many e bike standards right now.

That 3d printed titanium is sick looking. One of my suppressors is also titanium 3d printed and is robust as hell.
Do they not make them at all anymore? Looks like only 165mm on their site. I have 160’s on my Levo and hoping to switch them over to my Plaid when it arrives. I did some digging and it looks like they should work.

I will be using mine as well. 😎👍🏼

Nope. They said they are done with them for now until an industry standard is released. The 165 is back stock, and too long for how i want my 181 to feel. But, thats a great price for anyone that wants 165s.

They’re 165, buy they have less overhang below the pedal axle, so the overall length is actually shorter than other 165’s

I kinda want to go this route. More clearance, less weight, with 130nm motor it should be ok lol

Edit: I thought it’s 34t but actually it’s 24t. Too extreme.

I think a 32 X 10-36 might work. The 32t would have extra ground clearance and the 10-36, super light for less unsprung weight and the 130nm would have enough grunt to handle steep climbs. The only issue is it would spin out too easy in the top end. Actually, an 11 speed Leonardi General Lee 9-36 cassette would fix the top end issue.

How does a 32t have extra clearance on an avinox ebike?
Do you all know that Shimano has a 9t now?

Extra ground clearance. So not having a bash guard isn’t an issue. Any hits will be on the skid plate and not on the chainring. As far as Shimano having a 9t cassette, I’ve been running SRAM XD cassettes for years now, so I’m not familiar with what Shimano has available. As it is, I’m happy with my SRAM 11 speed 34 X 10-42 setup. It’s light and the range is perfect for me.

I started out with a 10-speed 11-36 on my Voima but quickly realized with the bosch gen4 motor, as soon as you lost cadence it felt like the motor shut off. I've been much happier on the 11-42.

Have a 9-46 e13 waiting for the new 181 and I'm thinking about dropping to a 34t chainring as the 36 looks like it sticks out a little. Wishing someone would make a medium length cage for the T-type AXS because this thing looks like it's going to hit stuff hanging so low.

No need for all of the weirdness.
SRAM X01 11speed. All steel cassette, 10-42t, about 270 grams, super robust. Lots of derailleurs you want will work with it. 11 speed, 12 sp mechanical, Smarttop electric shifting, etc.

The 181 already protects a 34t CR. A 32t only slows the bike down.

A 32 chainring with a 9t small cog on the cassette would be fine. You could easily pedal to 30mph with that gear combo. It wouldn’t slow anyone down. And it was a suggestion to Lfhao who was looking for something smaller, less gears, less weight, less range etc.

That was not the point. The prior poster asserted that a 32t afforded more clearance than a 34 and negated the need for bash protection. That is untrue. The frame already protects a 34, according to Troydon

Bro, WTF are you going on about? Let it go already. If a 34t just clears the frame than a 32t would be even more clearance and it’s lighter too. And you’re wrong about it being slower as well. Move on man!

Obviously, but I specifically mentioned pairing it with a 9t cog. That gives plenty of top speed.

I get it. If you really want to limit the cassette to 36t for derailleur protection, valid point for some riders focused on getting the der out of harms way. Reduce CR size, since not everyone cares about top speed. (I would like both and the 32 would not be enough top speed for me on an ebike). If there was a 9-36t or 9-40t that was durable and played well with my other preferences, I would probably use it. Then again I would want it to be an 8 or 9-speed also.

Some people use the e-bike to commute to the trailhead, and for some it is several miles. The biggest CR practical is always going to be preferred for that.

I have a 9t on an acoustic bike paired with a 32, and I am always wanting a 34 (that is with just leg power) on some trail sections with gentle descents. That is with a 29" wheel (not a 27.5). That bike has a 9-45t cassette, and I can handle any grade the tires can stick to, for a while anyway, again no motor. I am 65 years old, so younger fit people would do even better. Commuting to and from a trailhead on a class 3 using a cadence that provides better electrical efficiency and a more comfortable cadence for the rider, the 34t is USEFUL . It is also safer, since you will spend less time on busy roads with distracted drivers. The individual needs to determine if the 34t CR poses a hindrance to his individual use climbing needs.

For my use of an e-bike, I would not consider less that 34-9 ratio, and would use a 36 if I knew I would not destroy it on rocks, which I would. I am sure a 32 is plenty for most recreational riders, but in this specific scenario, there is little downside ( 16 grams) to using a 34, since the skid plate appears to fully protects it.

But you do you, just do it without being so offensive.

TLDR.

no, because you hit the bash guard in the motor cover already with the 34t. that's you limit.
On the motor cover, not in. And your limit, not you limit. English is hard. 😂 And yes, a 32 has more clearance than a 34 does. One is larger, one is smaller, do the math. One is further from the edge than the other. Can you tell me which one? 😂

Bro, YOU started this shit. I was responding to someone else and you had to butt in with your know it all bullshit response that didn’t even make sense. And then you go on and on and on. STFU already. You’re fucking up this thread. Read a room.
