Thanks, is this due to cranks or other reasons I am not aware of? Would it work with a crank swap?

On EMTBs the motor drive shaft operates "independently" from the cranks, which allows for features like smooth shifting. The EMTB version of Ochains connects to the motor drive shaft (like the spider image you show), not the cranks like MTBs.
Thanks again for this, I noted the interface difference but was not sure if this spider would allow it to "adapt" (crank to ochain to spider to spline) but seems it may not work as thought.
I tossed an email to OChain support as well to see if they have an idea or an Avinox specific option coming soon, will revert back with any info they provide.
I fear they don't support the avinox because the torque, especially on the newer motor could totally destroy it. I even had a friend who sheered all the internal mechanisms of an ochain with a Gen 5 Bosch. I think safest option for now would be a DT DF system. I've heard the rimpact chain damper is awful to pedal with too.
I'm curious how the Chain Damper will work on an eeb. I have it on my DH bike and it does have a rubber-band feeling to it. I think the rubber band feeling is the springs in the chain damper unloading during the dead stroke and then getting loaded during the power stroke (I'm sure I'm butchering the correct terms here, bear with me), if e-assist is doing torque fill during the dead stroke I wonder if that eliminates the rubber-band feeling? It may end up feeling more like an ochain.

Deadband is much, much less noticeable on an emtb. I hardly notice the 18 degrees on the sidekick and never noticed the 9 degrees on an ochain. For the 2 rides I was building up my 181 and laced the sidekick to the wheel I was using on my Ochain bike I had 27 degrees of deadband. That I noticed! lol
To clarify, was the OChain that the Bosch took out the ebike specific version for the Bosch, or was it a regular MTB OChain?!
They’re not cross compatible. Neither one will work on the other.

Is there a way to buy additional avinox batteries in the US? Are people going through Crestline for that?
Troydon has said he plans to have a variety of batteries on hand once the frames arrive.

Scooped up my Plaid through a dealer, which they didnt have the RH2 with an 800wh battery available.
Realizing this was going to be a potential deal breaker they said they could get me an 800wh as there will be some available when the frames ship, but they did not have the cost yet.
I said oh heck yeah I will take a 600 and an 800, done!! I actually wanted to try a 600 for handling, but think I may need the 800 for range. Both for epics!!
No mention of a 700 when I talked to the shop but who knows, they might be available as well when the time comes..

This is totally Crestline thread worthy and I am tempted even though I have two 42mm stems and a 40 already sitting around.. they just are not the Cascade stem since I didnt know about it until recently.

Sounds like April 9th is the official motor launch day.
Sensible choices are fine of course, but I think most of us have lost our senses according to "regular" folks at this point!
Many are running carbon cranks nowadays, they can be made super stiff and super light. The e13 carbon cranks are "ASTM 5 approved, which is the highest rating for mountain bike components, signifying they are robust enough for aggressive All-Mountain and e-bike use."
They do have a 5 year warranty and shredders have reported replacements after cracking them, which does happen. I have also read the pedal inserts can come loose as potential cons to look out for.
Helix alloy 155m cranks are super light though (413 grams) and were also available so I grabbed a set . This is less than some other carbon models I have seen actually (was it Praxxis?). So if you are going for weight savings with carbon make sure you read the specs. Seems you did though if you are looking at the e13 version already.
The carbon Helix cranks go into featherweight territory at just 320 grams. This seems like a nifty way to shave off a quarter to half pound for sure!

I wish cane creek would re release the ee-wings in a 155mm for the ISIS crank. They’ve said they dropped them because there are too many e bike standards right now.
