Trying the fanatik route too here:

Their build total weight = 48.7 lbs
Components listed = 27.51 lbs (totaled parts listed from vendor specs)
(Math would say the RH2) Frame, motor, and battery = 21.19 lbs

However I could not see the battery size listed on the fanatik page for the build?

This puts my Cresty at 45.19 lbs if all is accurate!!

Sealant adds weight, rotor bolts, cable ties, you'd be surprised...

I will tell you that I've done this game before and the add up method always has came up less than predicted. You are better off taking a known Crestie weight with a similar spec and just swapping the handful of your components to get an accurate weight.

Their is a rumor that the M2 will weigh .3 kgs more btw, to deal with more power. Maybe they swapped nylon gears for steel or the like.

With the 600w battery, trail tires/ wheels, air suspension, the short mechanical dropper that the Crestie requires, 46# is a real possibility.

Heck Cahal just tested a L Mondraker with a CXr, 29er, L, electronic dropper (that's .5# extra right there!) that weighs 46#s.

What build is that? Any build that a cresty is worthy of isn’t going to be 45 lbs lol.

Just for reference, my amflow with WAO carbon wheelset, xo cassette, 170 zeb, ext storia v4, carbon one up bars, DD rear and exo+ front tires is 49.2lbs.

This is the spread sheet build chock full of internet specs and no validation!

Overall this is what I am thinking and trying to convey, it is going to be heavier in reality than the vendors specs I am adding up. Now I really want to weigh everything as I put it together just to see where the discrepancy is.

Your build sounds close to mine (fox 38, WAO, etc), and I am thinking with my RH2 and actual weights for complete builds I have seen I will be around 48-49 pounds.

Just staring at specs and such while I wait for this thing and got a bit confused by specs vs actual total weights.

Overall it is going to be at least roughly 10+% lighter than my 55lb current rig, and this helps me to imagine what its gonna be like while I wait..

A buddy of mine and I currently have the same ebike, but mine is 5 to 7lbs, lighter than his, (but still a durable build) depending on which battery I’m using, (I have both 500w & 750w). And as a result of our bikes weight difference, I get better range than he does, my bike handles much better, brakes quicker and accelerates faster than his. So although some may downplay the weight on an eeb, weight does matter.

Nice! Mine is also an RH2 with Berd wheels, (laced to Tune hubs and LB rims with Maxxis rubber) and one up v3 dropper, but 180mm and a 38 or 40 depending on my mood. But I’ll be running XX 11 speed and e-ewing cranks. And like you, I can’t wait!

Fork is likely 2400 grams+ (they vary).
That rear tire is probably a bit more as I recall.
You are saving a ton on that dropper. Literally my 200mm AXS is nearly a pound more. I did this on my new build due to HCR and hopefully for better function.
Add .5# for sealant. Did you know manufacturers don't include sealant in their weights?
I try to buy the good components that have good weights, however the bike is going to weigh what it's going to weigh in the end to do the job that is intended.

I didnt include the shock and spring specifically above, but I did extrapolate the total weight from a fanatik site build which I assume included the shock, although it was a Rockshox vs Fox.

The Fox fork weight was an estimate as I could not find the actual factory 180 mm X2 damper list weight, so there is likely a bit more in it for sure.

I did not add sealant weight individually either. In my overall spreadsheet I added 500 grams for miscellaneous, so this may be too light of an estimation on my part also.

Thanks all for indulging me with all the great inputs while I wait and wonder about this mysterious bike that will arrive one day. Totally agree overall the bike is more about ride quality for how and where you like to ride vs total weight. Although I'd add that I do find weight contributes to the overall ride and handling character.

Basically I am just sitting here staring at my list of goodies awaiting this thing. Thinking of the weight of my current "classic" emtb at 55lbs vs this upcoming 49~ish lbs and it is almost hard to believe what a difference this is going to make in the ride alone!

Not that there is any need, but if you were "hoping" of course you can make lighter without sacrificing reliability though, heck you can drop almost a pound just changing from the axs to a oneup v3 dropper... Stamp 11 vs 7 pedals, lighter saddle, etc...

I am a bit shocked to see the carbon cranks on there, but sounds super nice! They take a beating ok out there?

I'm pretty sure that the limit on the dropper is the shock tunnel and motor. The taller frames have taller seat tubes, but the dropper can only go down to the same distance from the cranks on all frames. For a given leg length, all that a larger frame gives you is more of the seatpost shaft hidden within the frames seat tube.

That I dont know. You certainly cant on with Bosch.

I guess even if you wasnt officially possible a sparky could rig it up to charge...

RH3, 600wh - 50.3lbs with pedals. I wasn’t going for ultra weight savings but was being relatively conscious about it. Reserve al/hd wheel, zeb, coil, aluminum bars, grid gravity rear tire, grid trail front, xx1 11sp, shmaven brakes.

I could see dropping about 3lbs more with carbon bars, mezzer fork, super deluxe rear and a good carbon wheelset ~15-1600grams. I think 47 ready to ride is pretty realistic, 46 without pedals.

I have a 180mm one up on my rh-2 s180. Check to see which side the cable hole is on. On my s-180 its on the r/h side. I actually positioned the one up post cable stop to the r/h side to match in line with the cable hole in the frame so i could get max insertion depth with minimal cable kink.
