Man I should just keep preordering bike frames because time is moving so slow right 😂

Hope we get some teaser pics as we get closer to first batch dropping.

Having a bosch cresty i would not entertain 10mm less travel. 180/180 just pairs so we'll.

Nothing worse than being underpinned on the front
If I was feeling bitchy I'd say "because it's as heavy as a 40 just a lot less stiff" but I'm not so I'll just keep my bitch ass comments to myself lol.

A 40 with a 190 airspring has roughly the same ATC as a 170 Zeb, in case that helps anyone's decision making.

Are you talking about a zeb? Zebs are about 500grams lighter than a fox 40.

a big fox 40 on the front of a cresty would turn it into more of a plough machine. I thought long and hard about 190mm zeb or 200mm triple and came to the conclusion that i wanted more playfulness for the tighter, slower and easier stuff whilst still being able to go full send.

18omm single crown was the answer for me.

I’m going with a a Fox 40 and a 600Wh battery to offset some weight

I just watched Sam’s video, he mentioned Crestline is releasing a DH e-bike. 200mm travel front/rear with a swappable bottom bracket to be able to use either the motor or swap it out for a standard crank/pedals. He said he’s already put a deposit down on it. Anyone else heard anything about it?

Wasn't this just an idea that Troydon floated on one of his interviews.... which video did Sam mention this?

I agree with this, but also tempted to go Fox 40. I wonder how different it would feel.....?

AFAIK you’re correct. Troydon mentioned he had been playing with the idea on the Vital MTB podcast.

Personally I think that’s a cool idea as long as the drop in bottom bracket was heavy like the motor.

There is a reason these big e-bikes ride so much better going down, and it’s the weight of the frame.

I think Sam just put out a “new DJI/avinox bikes” video

They're releasing a Cascade link for the Spectre to up travel to 200mm.

If you listen to the Vital Podcast with Troydon his plan is to use the Spctre frame, minus elctronics and add in a 200mm link and a standard BB in place of the motor so it can used to race DH. Saves him on making a new DH specific frame. Economically makes all the sense in the world and is a creative solution too. This is his instagram post:

Ridewrap has the RS181.2 in the list of bikes, but they do not have the tailored kit yet. I'm sure they are working on it, but if you go to the website, navigate thru the menu to find the 181.2 and request the kit, maybe it will help get the kit out sooner than later. I'd hate for them to not have this kit available before I get my frame. It takes 2 seconds.

Surely they need a frame in hand to create a pre-cut kit. I’d be lining up a custom application as a Plan B in case pre-made isn’t available in time.

I doubt they need an actual frame as everything could probably be done with a cad model.

Fair assumption. I wonder if the film companies are capable enough to create their kit from a CAD file though.

Anyone know what size rotor the frame is molded for? Looking to run 220mm rotors so I need to know what size adapter to run.

I don’t see it listed on the site.

Rumor says a new gen of the e13 sidekick coming, less weight.
Where did you see this rumor? I’m guessing it’s true. Reserve wheels site has the e13 hub wheelsets on sale, but not the Dt Swiss hub sets. I’m going reserve wheels on my build, but am just waiting to see if the new e13 hub is releasing very soon.

Any ideas what springs the vivid and dhx2 shocks ship with? I have nearly all the parts I need for this build, just realized that the spring will probably be too light since most coil shock bikes are spec’d for lighter weight riders.

If you contact Troydon you can request a specific spring or ask for advice based on your weight. His spring chart is pretty spot on.

A dealer says so. I bought the DT Deg hubs and doing the DF upgrade.

Pretty impressive Troydon manages such granular customer inquiries as prescribing spring rates for individual buyers.

So update on this... I did shoot him an email and he said RH2 will come with either a 400 or 450. But he gave me the chart to figure out the spring I'd need to get. It was $30 for the spring so no biggie.
