I was quoted the 12A charger as a AUD$400 upgrade. So NZD$790 is steep.

While I'm here. I have pulled my Velduro order. I'm not saying I won't buy the Rogue. But with some other 180/180 Avinox options coming soon that will be well serviced in Australia. I am going to wait till later next year to make my Enduro purchase.

I also want to view the buying experience that people are going through in this thread.

Not going to lie, I’m starting to doubt my purchase (got a deposit on a large). I discovered the long chainstay feels when I bought a Titan and it opened my eyes up to being more centred in the bike.

With Rob measuring the large at 437 unladen (I know it grows 10mm at sag) and commenting several times about having to weight the front my alarm bells are ringing. Last bikes I had with similar issues were the SB130 in large and a Hightower in XL which were both fine at race pace when I wasn’t tired but once fatigue kicked in or it was a more cruisy ride the front tended to wash.

Then the motor rattle 🙄

Goddam it. I thought I had found goldilocks..
 
Check the Teewig Flux out, estimated chainstay is 452 (no official figures yet) reach size large 480ish.
When the update Avinox motor drops next year hopefully they have sorted the rattle :)

I fully expect the e-dreadnought to be the "goldilocks" bike, particularly if it's offered with a 600wh option. The e-druid came close, just a bit short on travel.
The upcoming teewing has potential too.
 
Too far in to this to change now and who knows when the Flux will become available - mid 2026 maybe?

So sticking with the Rogue for now - can always "upgrade" if warranted.

Only take the internet experts opinion with a grain of salt. What might be awesome for them might be a sack of shit for you. Even Robs reviews, which are awesome, are still biased towards what he likes and doesn't like. Plus he's one tall mofo. So riding an undersized bike he simply cant get a fair and reasonable feel on how that bike will ride for the correct sized person.

Get the bike and ride it with an open mind.

Hey. I bought an InvisiFRAME kit for my Rouge. Put it on. Last night. Took 2 weeks to arrive into NZ. Was easier than I remembered. Still 3 hrs.

Depends on the trails you ride too.

I’m coming from an analogue 2019 enduro bike (160/150) in XL with 435 CS, 500 reach and 1266 WB. Just checked its ratio and it’s 1.9 and I don’t find it bad on our steep, technical trails. I bet if I had the luxury of trying 50 bikes then I’d realise what’s perfect for me, but you get used to what you’ve got. When buying a TV, you see all the imperfections when side by side in the shop, but once it’s on your wall it all fades away.

What are others thoughts on this? Does the freight charge and charger cost seem reasonable to others? I am a big fan of NZ company and love the idea of the bike, just feeling I’ve got the brunt of a lot of teething issues!

Hey Alex, I've just recently ordered a fast charger through Outset Bikes (3sixty distributors) who do Forbidden. It's $545 retail and I'll get it for under $500 with a discount. $790 is either an error or they're taking the absolute piss.

Trying to understand why folks want to wrap a matt unpainted UD carbon frame. If it's to reduce nicks - though this is most notable with painted finishes - , then I could get applying underside downtube protection. If it's to prevent staining or uneven patina development it might make sense, but then again I don't specially treat my naked UD carbon wheels. Maybe I should though, with something like SiO2 ceramic finish?

If it grows 10mm, You have 447 and 447 also have Kenevo sl and levo 3 - both in low. Both bikes are just awesome.
Large ist just to small for rob. He rides, from what i know mostly xl. And from what I seen the stem was short too…. So no wonder, that he got some problems. I think till Large it will work great or more then great.
On the Homepage - faq - they say it have around 553mm under sag. For me the 447 will be enough.
I go with Öhlins coil btw

Had my first ride. Going for number 2 now. This bike is fast and super plush. Super happy so far. Heaps of front end grips and the chainstay for me feels perfect on my L. Im 181cm so on the very low end of the L. Glad I didn't go medium, the fit feels spot on.

Good question. Most of the damage to my current frame has come from rubbing, dropping whilst lent up against a rock (Bellend) and transporting next to my brothers bike (who is incapable of securing his equipment properly). I guess it’s just to protect against anything that arises… especially as I need to keep it looking good for the booming second hand EMTB market!

So is the PPF matte to match the raw finish or glossy? The reason I ask is as the bike is exposed to the environment and through use, the areas not covered develop a patina of sorts while the protected areas keep the PPF finish; not to mention the dust that accumulates along the edges that can be difficult to remove. My Voima had PPF pre-applied on a Storm Grey ano finish and over time, I just didn't like look of the PPF and wished I ordered it naked w/o PPF (which I did with my Sonni and it still looks great after well over a year of use).

That said, I'm pretty sure at the this point I'm going to apply a professional ceramic coating to the UD surface. I got a free bottle of Ecocoat Bike, but perhaps I should get Gyeon Matte since its finish doesn't gloss out matte surfaces. Also I hear Gtechniq is particularly good with holding up against chemical contaminants.
