To be fair the E-druid has an 800watt battery and a High Pivot which adds about 1# too. Most Bosch 600w bikes now come in comfortably <50s.
The Avinox motor system is 1# lighter than the Bosch, essentially offset once you add the weight of a required bashring. If Bosch made the CX-R motor standard and Avinox made a bashring standard, the motor systems would weigh within 50 grams of each other.
I suspect my Antidote with the CX-R motor, once I get it built with dual coil suspension, dual DH tires, pedals and tools on board will be VERY close to 50#s on the dot. Once again, it's gaining about 1# due to the High Pivot.
