Push down on both pedals at same time with both feet and all your weight with pedals at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock then gently with top of one foot spin them 180 degrees and agree repeat push down. If they don't move or speak you can rule out pedals and crank arms. And this is how they should be anyways.

Also, when does it squeak? Pedaling? over run? Jumps? Drops?

Finally, turn off motor completely and pedal around on smooth concrete helps also in narrowing things down.

While climbing & pedaling, never on jumps or on downhill.
Saddle seat sometime make those noise. Try pedal up saddle. Then check your 3 motor bolt n last your linkage bolt. I think its mostly your 3 motor or saddle..

My saddle was making a strange noise but i already fixed that, thanks anyway!
Hi, try to remove the shock absorber pins, grease them and reassemble them completely.

I'll try that and keep you updated, thanks

Nvm guys i think i found the issue ..

When you do a back-flip you need to remember to land on your wheel;s not on your computer-display :)

I've received my frame, and I'll start a thread about the build soon. Can anyone tell me the torque for the engine and shock mounting bolts? Do you route the wiring above or below the battery? Thanks a lot, photos soon 😁

We want to know if they thread very hard and if it is short for the 16 screw that comes with the brake caliper, 180 discs
The paint has gone into the hole that cover your nut thread. I have the same problem and I use hand thread screw to repair it.

Will you have new CEF55-1 frame and what will be the prices? Anyone got CEF 55-1 yet and did a build?
I just assembled a cef 55 frame, I'm having trouble adjusting the gearbox, but I already like it, I believe I'll have to check the engine parameters because I noticed a different behavior of the engine.

Gear adjustment completed. Regarding the engine, it was the firmware. My engine and battery are 48v, and the firmware that came was CRX30PC4809E102012.1 and replaced to CRX30PC4812E102012.1.
On Saturday I will repeat the same route to confirm the adjustments.

Hi, there are three pins for the engine. First remove the 2 rear pins, then remove the one you mentioned. You will see that the whole assembly comes off in reverse.

Hello, i did, its still stuck. I removed the motor 7/8 times already for maintenance and painting, but now its totally stuck, even if i remove the other bolts

Just a note to those building a new CEF-50. After building two bikes I had trouble with internal cables getting jammed under the battery and wrapping around the steerer tube. I may be particularly stupid but I realized that the bike must be assembled with the battery in first and then feed the cable housing up from the motor opening to the head tube. This is the only way to stop the cables from being jammed under the battery.

I noticed of the three motor bolts two seem to be made of aluminum and seem like standard bolts somewhat available on Aliexpress and do not have issues with the m820 housing as far as sticking or reactions. The third bolt (10x90mm) is not as easily found on AE and is made of, I think, steel and will chemically react with m820 housing causing the sticking issue.

Liberal use of antiseize seems to be the only solution. Also there may not be any reaction with the complete lack of water exposure, but good luck with that and MTBs :)

Hey, i'm back, after being one of the first owners of a CEF50 frame a couple years ago and selling it, I decided to buy one again, so probably you'll see me adding info and upgrades to the frame, this time its a CEF50-3 with the DPC030 display.
I'm waiting for the frame to arrive, Size L, Green matte color, 700wh carbon battery.
components waiting in my garage for the build:
- DIY wheelset, DT350, Sapim D-light and EX511, both 29 but I have a spare 27.5 also to try it mullet, Assegai / DHR2 DD both
- Funn ZS56/66 headset, no ICR, proper cable routing through the frame (part I hated the most from my old CEF50, ICR)
- Rockshox Lyrik Select+ 170mm fork
- Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Air shock @ 210x52.5 (157.5mm travel)
- Funn 45mm stem
- Renthal fatbar carbon 770mm handlebar
- FSA carbon IS cranks
- Oneup seatpost 210mm
- SLX/XT mix M8120/M7120 brakes
- 203mm XT discs
- M8100 10/52 cassette + XT derailleur, shifter and chain
- Aliexpress carbon saddle
- M8120 pedals
Aiming to 20kg+-, lets see where it'll land.
