Just Switch to MTB Mode for the Ring Control in the Fazua toolbox. Probably you can need to Upgrade to latest firmware versionCan you tell me how to set this up? I've searched and searching and can't find it. Would love that ability.
Thanks!

If you go to the Fazua Toolbox and open configuration you should see a drop down box in the control layout options. There you can change it from Urban to Mountain Bike. Can you tell me how to set this up? I've searched and searching and can't find it. Would love that ability.

That’s a bummer. What’s the special offer?

Think they are prioritising addressing the reliability problems, but not sure it screams commitment to the system. Can't see many companies wanting to spec Ride 60 on their shiny new models, so not sure what the future for Fazua is looking like?Going to be some unhappy people I think. I wonder why it was so difficult when every other brand seems to manage it?
Surely they can do two things at once? The range extender was promised at launch (?) years ago. Fazua have been owned by Porsche for several years since then, you'd think they'd have the resources to do something everyone else seems to do fairly easily. Orbea are fairly small yet have their own unique take on a range extender.Think they are prioritising addressing the reliability problems, but not sure it screams commitment to the system. I'm lucky, motor has been great and done exactly what I wanted it to do. Maybe not using it on full power much and not doing massive climbs fully powered up has helped? But was looking forward to the range extender for big/multi day rides. Rumour is reduced price 480 battery upgrade offered, which I guess leaves you with a 430 battery as spare. Not ideal but maybe something.

Thoughts on the noise of the SX motor while descending?I've owned 3 bikes with the Fazua 60 drive: Shuttle SL, Heckler SL, and Ari Nebo Peal. I've sold, or am selling, all of them because the motor started failing (2 need to be replaced under warranty within 1 1/2 years). Problems ranged from motor drive not turning on (even though LED's showed full charge), power fluctuations (loss of power or bursts of power), clanking noises, to complete loss of motor drive during a ride. Repairs generally require leaving the bike in the shop for at least 2 weeks for diagnostic protocol and receiving/installing replacement motors. The local shop (which sells and services high-end bikes) says they're going to start charging for labor, even if Fazua provides hardware under warranty. I've now ridden 975 miles on a Shuttle SL/AM with the Bosch SX, which is definitely my favorite for the trails and parks I ride along Colorado's Front Range. It provides better support (60nM, 400% power amplification, 600 W), and is no noisier than the Fazua 60.
I bought the SL/AM late August, and have not noticed any significant rattling despite riding dirt roads with tractor trail "washboards" almost daily, as well as occasional downhill runs over rocks. On another thread some guys rode the SL/AM in a Pivot demo event, and reported no rattling; looks like Bosch may have fixed the problem.Thoughts on the noise of the SX motor while descending?
I’ve heard reports of loud to no noise
I demo'ed the Yeti MTe with TQ HPR 60 back-to-back with the Shuttle SL/AM (with a Bosch SX still set at 60 nM peak torque); the TQ was noticeably underpowered. If you're used to the Bosch, you might be disappointed.@MTcycler I hear you on being fed up with the lack of reliability of the Fazua system. I find the bosch battery a bit small personally. I usually empty my 430 and 480 wh batteries. I'm pretty impressed how much vert i get out of it: 2 days ago I did 5000ft vertical with my 480wh battery. I weigh 200lbs and did manage my battery use.
On paper the new TQ 60 looks great - similar weight, more battery options, range extender options. 200% support is enough for how i like to ride. The forthcoming Maxon also sounds great to me, but on both the reliability is unknown, of course.
From my experiece the late 2023 and early 2024 models (serial 034, 041) holded up the best.@Tmae- whats the current status of your motor? I just got a replacement and was happy to see a new HW version and Motor type, but now concerned that it maybe less reliable than the 2400kms I got out the first one

From my experiece the late 2023 and early 2024 models (serial 034, 041) holded up the best.
These were F4, but according to Fazua the HW version code is just related to the different suppliers of the PCB and not to actual product revisions.
Also had some G units which failed early on.
I‘m at motor 9 atm, it‘s a 034 serial (= Q4 2023 unit), 1700km and counting.
Another Q4 2023 unit had 1900km and was only replaced because of motor bushings creaking, otherwise still working well.
Another early 2024 unit lasted 2700km, then it started to randomly vibrate, but was still working.
All the others (especially the 2025 units) all failed early <200km.
Over all motors now at about 7,2k km on my relay.
How is this sustainable for Fazua?! It's actually insane. It's even worse that the 2025 units are the worst of the bunch. WTF have they been doing the last two years?!From my experiece the late 2023 and early 2024 models (serial 034, 041) holded up the best.

2 motors at 2.5k is still not great.I mean..you need to take a sample size greater than one, plus TMAE is corner case with 7.2Kms on his bike...Im only at 2.5Km and have had 2 motors
How about you?
Motor 9 even for 7200km is crazy to me.I‘m at motor 9 atm, it‘s a 034 serial (= Q4 2023 unit), 1700km and counting.

By now they should probably give you an access badge to the buildingIt is…
Luckily i live near the the Fazua HQ and they took care very quickly, collected my bike and repaired in 1 day.
