Ok! I might need some more camera angles. (Front/rear). The owner escaped and is probably much older now. Could still be running away.…likely using a walker by now .Hyundai Pony

It's not one of them. They didn't make a coupe for starters. Though it should be noted as the first and only none bling picture that @VWsurfbum has ever posted..Ok! Round here a "Galopin" is a small glass of beer .. a half a half .. 125ml. Sounds very horse related ..Pony is a wee glass of beerfree to chase down your whisky.
Hee Haw . I remember them from the 70s served in a nip glass , .Round here a "Galopin" is a small glass of beer .. a half a half .. 125ml. Sounds very horse related ..
Wonder if the Spanish call it a Donkey ?
Hang on, you're Scottish, so wouldn't you just say it's a wee beer ? no wonder if it's free if you're drinking someone else's pee !![]()

That’s what I thought. Pony is a trail close by (20-30m). Pony Connector (I built years ago) ties in several other trails.I guess someone saw the car and named the trail, the car could already have been badgeless and well wrecked..
Not sure what that's supposed to be but I think I seen something like it in the Sex Museum in Amsterdam
My girlfriend and I went on a works outing from Bradford to Holland one long weekend in 1970. When we got to Amsterdam, several of the apprentices went to the red light district and sat in a bar opposite watching one woman in the street opposite. She was in a small room with a bed in it and sat in front of the window. When a bloke rang the doorbell, she closed the curtain and let him in. They said that she had (a scarcely believeable) 11 customers in one hour. She sure worked hard for the money, I wonder how much of it she kept? There can't have been time for much small talk, and allowing for payment, removal of clothing, dressing and cleaning up, hardly any time for anything of value to occur. But I guess if it's been a while and you were in the hands of a professional......Not sure what that's supposed to be but I think I seen something like it in the Sex Museum in Amsterdam![]()
Passed there a few times coming home from ships and been forced to stay the night . Never sampled the delights . Last time I was there i was meeting a lad who went off on an earlier flight so he was drunk when I met him. I've always wanted to go in to the banana bar he said I'd never heard of it , enough said.My girlfriend and I went on a works outing from Bradford to Holland one long weekend in 1970. A few more camera angles for this mystery car. And a bit of trail maintenance. It's not one of them. They didn't make a coupe for starters. Though it should be noted as the first and only none bling picture that @VWsurfbum has ever posted..
I guess someone saw the car and named the trail, the car could already have been badgeless and well wrecked.. So Pony just seemed like a connection .. though it could be completely unrelated name wise and a pony could have walked up there when they were making the trail..

Cool ! Definitely looks like the corolla, has the rear wing air vent on the offside and the lights are the same.A few more camera angles for this mystery car. And a bit of trail maintenance. Have we reached peak "Danny"?
That folding saw is priceless. “BigBoy”. Easy to place in your pack and can slice through almost anything. But that was a large log.We had a tree across one of our local trails for several weeks now, someone tried to cut it, but gave up.
I was alone, took me 2 hours to cut, and move out of the trail, it was pretty heavy.

I've still to replace my Baco Laplander ..would you say that Big Boy is a better saw ?That folding saw is priceless. “BigBoy”. Easy to place in your pack and can slice through almost anything. But that was a large log.
I’m on my second one. My battery operated Milwaukee chainsaw is sometimes needed but the folding hand saw is great for 90% of the trail obstructions.
Did you leave your business card?![]()

Sometimes the brand doesn’t matter. Buy locally and take it out for a test cut first.I've still to replace my Baco Laplander ..would you say that Big Boy is a better saw ?
Edit : I've just checked it out online ..it would need to be as its 3 times the price!![]()
Hey, you can even cut suitable levers to move those big logs…as long as you don’t pinch the blade. That would suck. This is my first one, i did cut some smaller logs with it, it goes trough the small ones like butter.
Did not leave my business card, but left lot of sweat for sure. When I was finally finished cutting trough on both side, the cutted out part jammed, it was so heavy, took me a half an hour to remove it with log levers.
Only thing I have left from my cutting days is a Cant HookSometimes the brand doesn’t matter. Buy locally and take it out for a test cut first.. Like our bikes…geometry is important.

Well at least that’s somethingOnly thing I have left from my cutting days is a Cant Hook
We are on different channels I think i will post a pick in morning. Not been drinking have you ?Well at least that’s something.
The only thing I have left is a bunch of long boring stories.
I never cut cants but they must be worth a few $$ because they were bundled up and taken out by helicopter.
Shake n’ shingle Cants. A entire industry was developed for a small group of workers/loggers to recover Western Red Cedar. Usually portions of the log was left behind or didn’t meet certain criteria for lumber. The value of cedar was (years ago)very low so logs were left in a setting or area after logging the valuable wood.We are on different channels I think i will post a pick in morning. No I'm on about the tool for turning a log after felling , we call it a cant hook .Shake n’ shingle Cants. A entire industry was developed for a small group of workers/loggers to recover Western Red Cedar. Usually portions of the log was left behind or didn’t meet certain criteria for lumber. The value of cedar was (years ago)very low so logs were left in a setting or area after logging the valuable wood.
Years later, small groups of workers (2-3) would search for abandoned red cedar and cut them into Cants (18-36”) and stack those in a sling for a helicopter to lift out.
After the Cants were sold they would be split or cut into roofing shingles and readied for construction.
Whew!.… after all that I wish I was drinking.
