It's not one of them. They didn't make a coupe for starters. Though it should be noted as the first and only none bling picture that @VWsurfbum has ever posted..Ok! I guess someone saw the car and named the trail, the car could already have been badgeless and well wrecked.. So Pony just seemed like a connection .. though it could be completely unrelated name wise and a pony could have walked up there when they were making the trail..
Round here a "Galopin" is a small glass of beer .. a half a half .. 125ml. Sounds very horse related ..Pony is a wee glass of beerfree to chase down your whisky.

That’s what I thought. Pony is a trail close by (20-30m). Pony Connector (I built years ago) ties in several other trails.
There’s evidence in this area that this use to be a “party zone” for the teens. Probably my era in the early 70’s.

My girlfriend and I went on a works outing from Bradford to Holland one long weekend in 1970. When we got to Amsterdam, several of the apprentices went to the red light district and sat in a bar opposite watching one woman in the street opposite. She was in a small room with a bed in it and sat in front of the window. When a bloke rang the doorbell, she closed the curtain and let him in. They said that she had (a scarcely believeable) 11 customers in one hour. She sure worked hard for the money, I wonder how much of it she kept? There can't have been time for much small talk, and allowing for payment, removal of clothing, dressing and cleaning up, hardly any time for anything of value to occur. Passed there a few times coming home from ships and been forced to stay the night . Never sampled the delights . Last time I was there i was meeting a lad who went off on an earlier flight so he was drunk when I met him. I've always wanted to go in to the banana bar he said I'd never heard of it , enough said.

Cool ! Definitely looks like the corolla, has the rear wing air vent on the offside and the lights are the same.
Guess it was someone's bling plaything backin the day. The miss matched wheels are odd. Appears to be wolfrace mag's on the back - though they could be 1970 Nissan 240z wheels as they looked similar on some of the models.
Not sure what the fronts are. Similar to what ford/open/gm put on some of their sportier models back then, but not quite the same.

Have you considered leaving the Rail there and seeing if someone names a trail after it ? The Rail Trail.. We can come back 40 years later and see if anyone can identify the bike ..

Never heard about this stunt . Been on the go a few years now has Danny hopefullybeen sensiblewith his money. . Wife couldn't watch it we walk there every week.

Well now that it gets dark at about 5:15 it is time for night riding!
Still have the lights ..but no longer the motivation for night rides ..but we did have some truly epic rides

We had a tree across one of our local trails for several weeks now, someone tried to cut it, but gave up.
I was alone, took me 2 hours to cut, and move out of the trail, it was pretty heavy.

That folding saw is priceless. “BigBoy”. Easy to place in your pack and can slice through almost anything. But that was a large log.
I’m on my second one. My battery operated Milwaukee chainsaw is sometimes needed but the folding hand saw is great for 90% of the trail obstructions.

I've still to replace my Baco Laplander ..would you say that Big Boy is a better saw ?That folding saw is priceless. “BigBoy”. Easy to place in your pack and can slice through almost anything. But that was a large log.

This is my first one, i did cut some smaller logs with it, it goes trough the small ones like butter.
Did not leave my business card, but left lot of sweat for sure. When I was finally finished cutting trough on both side, the cutted out part jammed, it was so heavy, took me a half an hour to remove it with log levers.

. Like our bikes…geometry is important. Hey, you can even cut suitable levers to move those big logs…as long as you don’t pinch the blade. That would suck.

Shake n’ shingle Cants. A entire industry was developed for a small group of workers/loggers to recover Western Red Cedar. Usually portions of the log was left behind or didn’t meet certain criteria for lumber. The value of cedar was (years ago)very low so logs were left in a setting or area after logging the valuable wood.
Years later, small groups of workers (2-3) would search for abandoned red cedar and cut them into Cants (18-36”) and stack those in a sling for a helicopter to lift out.
After the Cants were sold they would be split or cut into roofing shingles and readied for construction.
