i have the same issue last scan 7/30 and still no movement as of today i called troydon he instructed me to call bike flights i get no response back from bike flights hopefully it just shows up fingers crossed lol
Mine just updated, showing arrived in MD. Hope yours updated as well.

Are you keeping both for ultra decadence?

Done a first ride yet? comparison?
I'm keeping my 2024 Crestline as a backup until my Forbidden E-Druid Core arrives hopefully next month.

I have 211 miles on the new DJI Crestline. Race Mode on my Gen 4 Bosch Race is still more lively than the DJI. This is what I was complaining about with my Bosch Gen 5 motor. Since the DJI has so much power I think it's fine. I also think the Bosch Gen 5 with the power update is fine now too. Loving the updated geometry. My RH-3 now comes with a 480mm reach so no need for the Works Adjust Headset. Also taller stack so more confident on the bike on the downs. Suspension kinematics keep improving with every version. Bike has so much traction. Also pops off jumps easier. I do all of my rides using 100% Turbo and can do 25 miles/5,000ft elevation on 1 battery which is all I need it to do. My only complaint is that the DJI motor does rattle.

I remember now. You are the guy that sold the Gen 5 Crestline because it wasnt as punchy as the gen4 race.
Have you since tried the Gen 5 motor? EMTB+ is pretty damn punchy with everything wound right up.

I have ridden the Bosch Gen 5 with power increase update and love the extra power. Still not as lively as the Bosch Gen 4 Race Mode. I think the new Bosch Gen 5 Race Motor will be bad ass! The torque curve is more aggressive in Race Mode.

There's a guy on the Crestline facebook group that got 7000ft with 19% left on eco/trail. That's 2100mtr in metric terms which as wildy good. So I think the DJI can be turned down to get efficiency out of it....
Must be a light rider. Even the Bosch to reach that kind of climb difference with 80% you eiher have to :

muscle it in ECO only
or be a super light rider.

You must really enjoy the punch. I find the embt+ 100nm often too much. Noting that im typically riding steep tech up and down and sometimes that extra punch and run on just throws you off the track.

Yeah, I never acheive those types of numbers... With that said, im never doing an Eco only ride.. Fuck that. I didnt by an ebike to go slow. I have an mtb when I want to go mtb speeds up hills.

Thank you for this comparison! I sold my previous 2023/2024 Bosch Race Crestline frame two weeks before receiving my RS181 frame, so I was unable to see them side by side.
The RS181 looks so dainty in comparison, so much better looking! The RS181 top tube lower stand-over height is so much better as well, pretty much everything is better.

Except for the front weight bias which is worse.....

If anyone has the new version 175mm AXS dropper and wants to trade for a new version 200mm AXS dropper, hit me up. I still have the original box to ship it in.
My slammed 200mm AXS is about 5-10mm too tall for me and with my Switch Grade way too tall. A 175mm with the added Switch Grade stack height would be perfect for me.
I have come to really like the switch grade on my MTB so I purchased another for the RS181 but for now I’ll be riding without the Switch Grade installed.

Yes, yes, of course. We ALL know how you feel about that, as you have the most experience on the RS181……….oh wait, you don’t own one 🫢
My 440mm CS RS181 is a manual machine.
I also don’t use Race/Boost/Rocket/“fastest setting”much at all, it’s a shuttle mode (used to race back to my truck in an emergency) I still enjoy the hard burn of an MTB, emtb for a “day off” ride. I may look into the 600wh battery when they come available, weight difference/placement may not be worth the expense and less ride time though.

Ignore button, don't reply it'll just lead to more irrelevant posts.

There is no one, not even employed reviewers, better aligned to give us all the details comparing these 2 drive systems.

Power deliver, I don't know if you've seen the hubub about Alex the Bike Tester expressing his discontent with the power delivery of the Avinox?

And some guy names Suns_PSD bitching about range.

Plus you've got the adjustable CS' to play with.

Saw the Alex video. I think he works for Bosch or something, lol. The power delivery on the Bosch Gen 4 Race is more aggressive than the Bosch Gen 5 and the DJI Avinox. The overrun is also more aggressive with the Gen 4 Bosch Race. I'm really wanting to test the new Bosch Gen 5 Race motor when it comes out this fall. I'm thinking this will probably be my most favorite motor out.

I was a huge Bosch fan with my Gen 4 Race Motor. So fun to ride in Race mode and super reliable! I think they dropped the ball releasing a standard Gen 5 motor that didn't outperform the old Gen 4 Race motor. Also not liking everyone had to wait so long for a power increase. Not a fan of Bosch trying to get DJI to limit it's power. Wish Bosch would offer 400wh/600wh/800wh batteries that fit in a slim downtube. If Bosch would have released the Gen 5 Race motor with 100nm/750watts last year with slim battery options, they would still be king. DJI is only going to accelerate at this point and will continue to lead with innovation.

Kill the rattle in my current bike and I can't imagine a better bike.

Anyone find a bash guard for Spectre? I assume it’ll take some time for one to be developed. Perhaps there‘s one made for another eMTB, one with Avinox motor that could fit Spectre?
E13’s got something for the Avinox

A couple interesting findings.
RH2 below pictured with a 180mm oneup all the way in. Luckily, this worked out for me with only 3-4mm to spare since I have longer legs for a 5’8 guy. Had I gone with AXS, the longest for me would have been a 150mm drop. I’m used to running 210mm on other medium frames so going down to 150mm would have sucked real bad.

The other photo shows you can mount a 450ml fidlock bottle in there. I think it will work well to store tools in there for shorter rides. Yes, I checked for clearance and let out all the air and weighted the pedals, there’s 4-5mm of clearance. I hate riding with a pack so this works for 80% of my local rides. The space is great to have!!!

I wonder if the weight bias guys are gonna give me crap for putting such a large water bottle so far forward in the triangle 😂

I am a bit bummed that a 36t chainring is going to protrude past the bash guard.

Lots of rocky technical climbs where I live and the #1 cause of snapped chains is lightly scuffing or smacking the chainring on something and not noticing anything until one day the chain snaps for no reason.
Well the reason is you’ve compromised the chain when you lightly smacked something.

I think I’m just going to install a couple bumpons down there to hopefully take the hit.

The resistance you feel is not normal and caused by the rubber boot on the cranks. Remove the rubber boot and throw it in the shit bin. Ask me how I know!! 🤘🏼

Having owned a Pole Voima with the race motor, and now owning a 2025 Orbea Wild with a Gen 5 motor and the firmware upgrade. The new motor outperforms the Gen 4 race motor IMHO. It has just as much over run with everything dialed up and now has more torque and watts.

I do think the new Bosch Gen 5 with power update does out perform the older race motor but I prefer the race curve vs the EMTB+ curve. I imagine the Gen 5 Race will have a similar race curve which will be awesome.

Based on your race motor preference however, you seem to prefer a really hard hitting motor. Where-as I'm still chasing an assisted biking experience, no doubt as a partial result of my lack of elevation.

Thanks for the photo of the 180mm V3 slammed in your RH2. That's helpful info!

DJI Crestie Smoothshift Question. Have the SRAM battery adapter/extension wire ready to go. Does this wire connect into the motor or the display?

At the motor.
Remove the forward motor bolt, rotate the motor down. It will be one wire that isn’t being used. Pull the plug out of the connector and connect. Prepare for complete enjoyment.
