There is new version of the app in Android

I installed the new 4.0.1 - I was just able to change my "Max Output Power" with DP C245 V 2.0. But it is a bit tricky ...better disconnect all Bluetooth devices from your phone. Then do it one by one ...first go to ECO change it ...save it. Don't try to change other modes ...instead go to the map or other parts of the app....few clicks then go to the next mode and so on....it may take a bit or time but now we are able to change it with V 2.0 ))).

On iphone I get this:

No way to get into riding mode. It used to work. It connects fine otherwise.

I have iOS 18.4, 245 v3 display and M820 motor.

Hello.
I updated to this version, but when I try to change the parameters, it doesn't save them.
I change the parameters one by one and click Save, but when I log back in, the previous parameters appear without any changes.
I have the Bafang M820 motor.
Regards.

This was happening to me with the 4.0.0 version but with 4.0.1 I was able to change I have M510. Try again...for me it didn't happen from the first time...also had to disconnect from all other Bluetooth devices.

I have the same.... :(
I get the same error as well, and it also wipes out all ride mode settings returning them to 0 making the bike useless, I had to use BESST Pro to fix them all with a reset to default and then having to guess all my settings from scratch again. Extremely frustrating.

If they are 0 it means they have not been obtained....you need to see the controller firmware in the app...to be sure you can interact with those settings.

Hi.
I have version 4.0.1, but it doesn't save anything.
Could it be because of my M820 engine? Regards

Right, it’s clearly not compatible, it tells me that much with the error, but why it’s just wiping out all settings without any confirmation at all is the bad part. It should just leave it alone if it’s not compatible for whatever reason. It’s an M560 with as far as I know the latest firmware (I don’t believe Bafang have released any updates to the 750w version since it was released, but I’ve been considering switching to the 500W firmware anyway because the 750 is just a ridiculous amount of power on anything above Tour mode).

There is a new version of the app. Bafang are push busted every week now ? Unbelievable 😁

Now to decide whether to roll the dice and risk it wiping everything out again... I'm leaning towards never installing it again.
It works well for me. Was able to adjust all my modes...now my Eco is about 15% power output...and it gradually goes to 100% on boost. Much better and refined now. Using DP C245 v2.0 display and M510 engine with V 2.0 controller.

Same display as you but with a 750w M560. It would just wipe out all my settings to zero as soon as it connected, rendering my bike useless. Any time you tried to go to the assist level settings it would error saying it was an unsupported device and set everything to zero. Only way to fix it was with BESST/BESST Pro. Extremely frustrating to say the least. I can;t imagine what someone without the software and tool would have done, their bike would just be completely dead.

Write them email - [email protected]. I wrote them and they already replied 3 times and with some useful information. Seems they try to put some efforts to fix their app and support...

The new version can now record track and upload to Strava ...just tested.

Can't take credit but this was posted on Facebook today. Haven't tried it yet but will stop the annoying update app notifications.

Just tried again with the update, no difference at all. Still says it’s incompatible and resets everything to 0 assist breaking the bike. What an absolute joke.

I am on the same situation, bike is disabled and no app can restore default riding modes back, incredible.

Yeah you need the BESST software and tool (Or the K1 tool would work as well) to fix it from what I’ve seen. Fortunately I already had them but I can’t imagine how pissed I’d be if I didn’t.

Well I got it working, sort of, with v4.0.2. its erratic, and takes lots of chances hitting save to see if it actually saved the changes, but all the modes activate the motor now, power comes abruptly in most modes and cant figure why, is not as smooth as factory, wish ive never touched that..

I have a new BBS02 CANBUS and the newer version of the Bafang Go App didn't work for me either - I could connect via Bluetooth (C010 Display), but as soon as I went into the personalise the ride settings, it would just hang. I also had the situation where I lost all my settings, they all went to Zero, and stopped the motor from working at all. My solution for now is that I went back to the Bafang GO+ app, version 3.1.0 (found a copy of the web - APK Pure site I think?) which allows me to change those settings. Just make sure that once you installed the old app, go into Google Play Store, then to the app page and set it to NOT auto update, or it'll get wiped out with the new app again. Also don't update when prompted when starting the old app up.

I did contact the developers in late April 2025 and they said that they were aware of the issue and a new version will be released in late May to address this. I see on the Play Store that a new version has been released on 20 May - v4.0.5 which is a hotfix to "fix critical issues causing crashes or unexpected behaviour". I am yet to test it out, but I am hopefull it'll mean I can change the settings using the new version of the app and I can move back to the current version.

Has anyone tested this new version 4.0.5 to see it if resolves the issue of hanging when going in to change the ride settings?
