as an iphone user i would never switch to a different eco system because of ONE app. I would struggle saving photos in my prefered photo app (because of incompatibility), making calls or whatsapps (because of sim card), etc.
I prefer using my old iphone for blevo, say an iPhone 6 or next year an iphone 6S etc.
And (one more thing) i prefer landscape mode. Portrait mode on a handlebar of a 6000k$++ bike is as ugly as hell, please ?

I am an addicted ios user too but I just bought the BV6000 and Android app where they just act as a display (and nothing more) so it doesn’t act like a phone. The display acts completely offline. I have no simcard inserted and downloaded offline maps. So next to the display I just take my iphone with me too.

It is written in the documentation. Did you already read it?
Sorry, i'm struggling with this too - how do i connect my Apple Watch (Series 4) to BLevo on my iphone? I've managed to connect the bike but not the watch.
And the documentation is rather vague, showing a screenshot of a screen which i can't find on my iPhone...

Well I leave the BV6000 on the handlebars and I just take my iphone for calls or taking a picture. However mostly when riding I am not making calls like in the office ;) but just bring my iphone with me so I can call in case of emergency.

Hi any ideas why Blevo would suddenly stop recording a route, as I just noticed the track recording stopped @ 6kms from the end of my ride & my phone had 60% + battery & i was on a open fire road when the recording ended ? Thanks

Did you enable BLEvo to run in background?

If you're looking for a really good and discreet mount for the BV6000s then maybe take a look at Quad Lock. I already use Quad Lock for iPhone 6 & X as they make exact fitting phone cases for Apple and Samsung. But they also do the Universal mount for other brands/models.
Ive found them to be super strong and robust whilst at the same time being really minimalist.

Universal - Universal Adaptor

For then mounting to the bike:
I have only used the Handlebar/Stem mount (mounted on bars) so far and it gives the option to rotate to either landscape or portrait. I've always found using the supplied O rings perfectly strong enough but you can use zip ties which are also supplied in the kit.

Do you have some pictures about how is mounted on the handlebar?

Hi, I've downloaded the app and I'm trying to connect my Smartwatch to it. I have a Huawei watch 2, is this compatible with BLEvo as I'm having difficulty getting it to be recognised.
Thanks ?

I did a video but can't seem to upload it. You place the phone in a 45' degree position on top of the mount and then turn either direction depending on which orientation you prefer and it locks into place. To remove or rotate orientation you pull down the blue spring loaded collar and rotate.(y)

There are videos on the QuadLock website that show it well. See the links I posted earlier.

Hi Neils, thanks for the suggestion! Although I like the design very much I doubt if it will work with the BV6000(S) as the backside of the BV isn't a smooth suface while I understand from the Quad Lock website that the backside of the phone needs to be smooth and not from rubber (which I think the BV6000 is made of too but not 100% sure) as the universal adapter mount uses 3M adhesive tape.

Thanks for the heads up (y)...
I haven't actually seen the BV6000s in the flesh so maybe Rob or Paolo or somebody else could confirm this?

Masstricht I think you're right, just watched a video review. the back does not seem flat so the Quad Lock Universal mount is unlikely to stick well!

Blast scrub that idea for the BV6000s then.

Still a great mount for anything with a flat back or go for the moulded cases they make if your using iphone or samsung(y)

Any advantage of using a BV6000 vs iPhone 6s? I have an old iPhone 6s and it looks like the BV6000 prices have risen over the past few days.

You could consider a BV6000S too. It's slightly cheaper. The advantages are the large battery, Android, IP68, extremely robust and barometer.

BLEvo Android version is more comprehensive (see earlier my earlier comparison too a few posts back on this page) then the ios version Paolo is working on ios improvements but likes BLEvo to stay a hobby so can take a while.

Back of the BV6000 fyi

I agree Android version of BLEvo seems superior than iOS (the only time in the world you'll ever hear me utter those words!)
