From what I understand about offset, if your bike is long, you might benefit from reduced offset (increased trail) and the stability that this trail gives you and ability to weight the front. Whereas if your bike is small, maybe you benefit more from the extra wheelbase of the larger offset. To be honest I would probably have preferred short offset as increased trail is fashionable but it has plenty of stability and it is the smallest size bike so I can't feel anything wrong. Also maybe I get a smidge more steering lock with increased offset.
