The custom M10 was 220€ cheaper and had the same specs except the XT chain, XT shifter & XT cassette.
So I bought a XT chain for 25€, XT shifter for 35€ and since the SLX cassette is as good as the XT but only a bit heavier, I am 160€ cheaper then the M Team

All carbon as far as I'm aware. I have the M20 and I'm sure the rocker is carbon, can check later

I bought a m20 and was sure that the rocker is metal. But I got a replacement frame now and it’s carbon on the new one. Maybe I got it wrong on the first frame….

On some carbon frames the rocker wasn‘t painted in the frame colour. Instead it was painted in matte black. On other frames the rocker was painted in the frame colour. I asked Orbea and not even they knew why.

But the rocker is always made out of carbon on the M models.
This does not surprise me at all.
Unfortunately I have some issues with the quality Orbea is delivering. My first frame got exchanged because of the seat stay bolt which is contacting the rocker was crooked. Also lots of paint issues but that was not my main problem.
On the new frame the trunnion bearings are really notchy. One of them is very hard to rotate using my finger. With an axle and some pressure it’s possible, but still notchy. Frame is brand new, 0km ridden.
Do you have experience with the bearings being notchy in the frame? I did read a lengthy thread about the orbea rise having that issue.
Not sure if I should ride the bike and change the bearings later and see if that fixes the problem. Or if I should insist on changing the frame again now . But I want to stick some invisiframe protection foil on it, so I would loose 130€ if it is changed again. On the other hand my dealer did a really bad job on swapping the frames. I don’t want him to touch my bike again
Damn it’s a shi*** situation.
So I got a quick spin up the hill and back last night, a few big differences in how it rides over the Heckler, Not better or worse, but different (not tried on the trails yet as it is a swamp out there)
You sit much more on top of the bike rather than in it, but the riding position is very comfortable and the standover is super low which is good.
Made a cock up on fitting the cassette, microspline is the work of the devil. Different-sized spacers on different cogs??? Ballache to swap once I got home.
Not keen on the Shimano shifter, as been used to the AXS, but it works and AXS is bloody expensive for very little gain. (so I'll buy that in due course)
The Saddle that came with it, isn't bad, Some Fizik thing, not had Fizik in about 15+ years so we'll see how that goes.
Other than that the suspension feels good, and I think there are enough settings to keep me busy on rides until the summer!

I bought an M20 this week in a sale with the RS Silver35, DPS shock and Sram DB8 brakes that I couldnt upgrade for 5K.
Getting this model and upgrade suspension, brakes etc myself is a lot cheaper as getting a higher specced model with less discount. The only thing that worries me is routing the cables through the frame as i,m a Ebike newbie and a bit "afraid" to take out the motor and battery without any experience with that.
So a question for those already upgraded stuff:
Do you need to drop the motor and battery to route the breaking hose or does a RS barb connector from a reverb works as well?
More or less related: I,m switching to Sram GX-AXS (first gen because I still have a set that is perfectly fine from another bike), but do I need to keep a shifting cable in place for when I ever to switch back to a cable shifting system (no clue why but you never know) or is it actually doable for normal people and i,m worrying for nothing.

I did the same with the M20, upgraded everything. Dropped the motor and it's by far the easiest ebike I've done it on, tolerances were perfect, slid straight out and in with no play. Just remember to rotate the Bluetooth remote out of harms way before you put it on it's roof.
You wouldn't want to leave a spare cable in the frame, you'd have to fold it back on itself to lose the ends and prob damage it, and it would likely rattle around. If you're running AXS just get rid of it completely

Install the Float X elite shock (I have an X2 in my Ibis Ripmo and they are for me too complicatred for me to set up correctly).
Try to wait patiently for the Fox38 performance to arrive. Like the X2, an Grip2 is too complicated to set up for me personally.

Recently picked up my 2023+ Wild H10! Upgraded a few things through my LBS:
I didn't realize how limited fitment for rear shocks is, but I guess It makes sense with the frame design. I had a RS SuperDeluxe coil I wanted to throw on but I read on multiple forums (including this one) that it will rub the frame. Oh well, the Float X will do for now - I'll explore that later. It's just so fun to ride already! I do enjoy the headset routing for a super clean cockpit.
The only thing I may want to upgrade soon is going to 220mm rotors + a new dropper lever to go with the matchmaker setup.

I can’t find any discussion about sizing of the Wild. I am 173cm/5 feet 8 inches, which puts me comfortably in the middle of Medium. I parking lot tested a medium H30 the other day, and it felt a bit short. I have a Medium Rise which I really like (160/160 29 f/r with a 50mm stem). The Rise is known for being small in size and many riders in my height size up to Large. How does the Wild size? Anyone have experience with both? Tia

When looking at the act toptube you get a better feel about how it sizes compared to others.
I,m 186 and would be more in the Large as he XL, but an L would be cramped up for me while the XL feels perfectly fine and far from big. The XL has a very similar riding possition as my Ibis Ripmo XL and feels slightly smaller as the Turbo Levo XL that I demoed.
On my M20 I installed GX AXS with an XO casette that I had leying around with the some old wheels I got because I couldnt find an fitting XD body for the Racface AR30 wheels (and have 2sets handspoked XD wheels doing nothing anyway).

I,m still a bit hestitant by removing the motor+motor to replace the DB8 brakes by Saints and the brake hose is on the tall size. I wanna see if I can press an Shimano calipper end piece on the hose so I can re-use that one.
Made yesterday an short very light XC maiden ride, first one in 8weeks anyway due a broken ankel and the bike felt even with the RS silver35 simply great.

Guys, check your lower shock mounts. I lost one screw today on the trail, and this was the third ride.
I checked all torque specs after the first ride and everything was fine.

First, you read wrong. Go and check their website.
Second the adapter for the extender was just released by Orbea. Unlikely anyone has any pics yet but you can email them.
