Sram GX AXS works with Shimano?

hmmm, that’s strange because mine shows the specific indexing for each individual gear.

I can set different indexing for different gears, and it remains that way.
Gear: Setting:
1. 10
2. 13
3. 14
4. 11
5. 15
6. 18
7. 12
8. 17
9. 11
10. 21
11. 19
12. 16

When I return to the app these are the shown settings. I can purposely change 4th gear to 24 setting and that gear will sound terrible. Al the others will shift and sound good.

I don’t know what to say? Maybe I’m imagining this, but I’ve checked.

But, what you’re saying makes sense.
Well,
After reading your message I opened my axs app and connected to my axs x01 mech and shifter, both showed updates were available (2.43.2 and 2.42.0) so my manchild got all excited thinking "YES, FINALLY gonna get micro adjust per gear" Updated the mech and shifter opened up micro-adjust page andddd NOPE still don't have seperate micro-adjustment per gear. 11th gear was set on 12/31 so I changed into 10th gear and set it to 13/31 and then clicked back into 11th gear and still showed 13/31. Manchild not happy , Manchild died a little inside and has lost all hope of ever getting sram to give us axs lovers Micro-adjust per gear that even the chinese axs kit has ....

That is very strange. Mine is/was showing different indexing for whichever gear you changed too. I’ll check which version of the app I have also.

It probably requires a firmware update on the controller or derailleur as well. The app is not the important bit, it's just the editor, but the settings are being saved in the derailleur.

Could it maybe be something only available on the higher spec mechs?
All the same FW from GX to XX1. The Road axs mechs had in app Micro-adjustment yr or more before sram finally added the same in app option for mtb axs (GX,X01,XX1) which was FW 2.35 which I updated my mech to which was about 6m after sram rep on fb group told me/us that they were testing it in beta and expected to release it april 2022. I was on 2.41.1 before updating to the latest 2.43.2 yesterday.

Haven’t had time to check the app out on the bike but here’s my version. IMG_6242.png

I stand corrected. I just installed the latest firmware update for the AXS GX derailer and the AXS reverb dropper.

All the settings are 14 in all gears ( global) . 14 micro setting is the happy spot for all 12 gears. IMG_6252.png

Just fitted mine today. Used LoveMTB guide from YouTube. Working great. Can confirm on my gx the micro adjust is the same in every gear. Using 17 ATM but very hard to tell the difference.

Yeah, once I got past the embarrassment of thinking each gear was micro-adjustable, I set mine to 14.
My neighbour is set to 18.

This one. To be clear my point there was that it's further evidence the chain wasn't stretched, not that the Deore cassette does anything special. All Shimano 12s cassettes perform the same.
I have a gravel Trek Checkpoint 12V. Can I mix a Sram crankset AXS 48/35 with my SLX shimano m7100 chain?

If it was me, I would ensure that the chain matches with the cassette. It may be possible to create a “hack-transmission” but that could require some experimenting.

Lower jockey wheel/guide wheel could cause some noise (wheel to chain). Also choosing the correct chainring offset and size could be critical.

I’ve used a Shimano cassette and Sram GX AXS derailer for years …but that “hack” was a proven method and I followed the suggestions. It worked well for me. I enjoyed the benefits from both manufacturers for shifting smoothness and speed.

But now there’s a Sram T-type AXS system that’s even better.
