Helens Tower, Bangor, N Ireland a short time ago.

Another cold day but perfect riding conditions along local trails that (mostly) are nice and dry.

New wheels on today and Im happy with them and the tyre combo. Felt I rolled faster and definitely noticed a faster engagement. But of course that might just be new toy syndrome.

A grand day out ended on a low note as my local cafe was unexpectedly closed so I have enclosed an archive pic just for reference.

Bought a full face in October last year for exactly the same reason. To wear when I'm doing silly stuff, which from your pics you do far more often than me.

What did you buy your ebike this week?

I have a detachable piece to convert to full face rather than two helmets... It's a Bell. Probably not as strong but not far off. Clip it on when on the more technical stuff or the potential risk is higher.

Short-ish ride today but lots of climbing and off-piste single track up at Rivington/Winter Hill.

Only did 13.5 miles but managed 2400ft of climbing.

@beanzz don’t feel bad. After my Lyric upgrade I ordered some decals from someplace in the UK. I had to pay an additional “admission” fee ($32) to the ‘yellow delivery truck company’ before they would deliver them. They were $70+ after the dust settled.

Btw, I carefully put them on, went for a ride, crashed, and scraped the new decal.

I’m reminded of the cost of those decals every time I look at my forks.
