Vitus E-Sommet VR

hmmm that looks about the same coverage as a mudhugger front mudguard fitted to the rear TBH. Nice and neat quite subtle but I want more coverage..

RRP are bringing out a new rear guard (not on their website yet) which i think will do the trick, i have tried a couple of options but as there is no seat stay bridge, its difficult to find something that stays in place as most guards rely on putting one attachment here. The new RRP one has 3 attachment points on each chain stay which i believe will sort this

Think the RRP guard is designed to protect the shock and linkage and not much else

I have a topeak defender on my commuter that looks like it would fit directly below the sommet’s seat post collar. It would float a little high but gives you good coverage and is very stable

StuE what size is the rear mud hugger, std or 29er version? (is that a piece zip tied on at the end??)
Liking the use of the neoguard

Polaris, I use that space below the SP collar to mount my rear light, but yes the Topeak is a great mudguard, I have one on my HT too.

Rear Extender
29er rear guard if I remember correctly

So looks from the blurb like they have gone to 165mm cranks, switched to a cheaper wheelset, and change to a High Roller on the rear in place of the Minion. Hard to see other changes without better pics.Hopefully an e7000 controller

Suspect the reference to the e7000 may be because they are bringing out a lower price point bike with this motor.

Why hopefully to the e7000 controller?? Is the e8000 not better??

Because it enables you to position the dropper lever etc better. Not better or worse, but a lot of us have junked the E8000 controller for an E6000 to enable better positioning of controls

Looks good, I wonder if the geo really has changed at all? Can see a few tweaks - WTB rims/wheels, more sensible compound High Roller rear tyre. Very short offset fork, dunno if it's a 2018/19?

Not due to the end of the year though, £200 dearer and no 10% BC discount. I wonder if they will be available through Wiggle again with the gold/platinum discounts?

I see I see, well lets hope it has been resdigned so that it all fits with the e8000

switched to a cheaper wheelset
cheaper maybe, but actually better than the DT E1900
novatec hubs are good
Not straighpull is a bonus
and i29 rims are also good and a far better width than that 35mm rear on ours.

Yeah i dont know enough about the the rims but guessing they moved away from DT Swiss to keep pricing down

Stop it. You're making me sad

 Aren't all old goths meant to be sad tho

Been patiently waiting for this bike and not disappointed, loving the new look, looks great. Will be buying me one for sure.

Spec on the old one is M1900 30 wheels and that's what mine came with. Pretty sure mine are 30mm both ends
