I have a 2016 Levo FSR, and I go into the shop soon for a firmware update to enable my new handlebar remote.
My question: Is the TCU firmware issue (2.019 vs. 2.025) only for the 2019 bikes?

I just released version 3.2.1 of BLEvo for Android.
I have optimized the management of the maps.

Here all the news:
- Added satellite, terrain and hybrid maps
- Added possibility to configure the stop time in the maps
- Added other values that can be displayed on the map
- Now you can click on the map to place the cursor on the path
- Added the Kcalories consumed in the configurable display
- Added audio message when the battery is at 10%, 20% (useful for discharge) and 50%, 80%, 90%, 100% (useful for charging)

Here below the link with the video where I explain all the new features of the maps
(The video is in Italian but you can use the subtitle translated in your language.. it should be understandable)

Paolo,
My BLEvo app was flashing that my motor had overheated
But the max temp was 111F
Not sure what the operating range of the motor is
Is this an app error or bug?

I have a 2019 Turbo Levo Carbon Expert, and I can change the wheel size and speed limit. My TCU is 2.019. MC app had the wheel size at 2300. In BLEvo that showed as 24.5 km/h and wheel circumference of 2300. I tested the wheel size and speed sliders in BLEvo, but returned them to 2300 and 25km/h, and now MC shows wheel circ 2255. I can’t get the speed back to 24.5 in BLEvo to equal 2300 in MC. If I set BLEvo to 25 kph, my wheel size shows 2255 in MC app. Is there anyway to get my MC app to show wheel size 2300?

edit:

BLEvo wheel circ:2300
speed lock 25 km/h
MC wheel circ: 2255
This is contrary to what the BLEvo formula states

If I make BLEvo wheel circ:2345
Speed lock 25 km/h
Then MC wheel circ:2300

Does that make any sense?

**2nd edit**

My actual tire circumference is 2345mm! So, does MC have it set to 2300 to limit the speed to 25km/h?

In BLEvo MUST be configured the REAL wheel size because BLEvo need this parameter to calculate the right speed and distance done.
View attachment 7434

Please, I repeat again. In BLEvo you MUST enter the real wheel size.
Thanks.
Paolo.

Hi.
I read that 2300 are the standard value I MC. So is this correct understood:
2300mm = 29"
2255mm = 27,5+

BLEvo shows 93% battery health.
Specialized Mission Control 2.0.5 shows 100% battery health.
What is true?!

Thank you very much Paolo I believe more in BLEvo than the MC. Only after 19 recharges and 1200km battery health has fallen by 7%. I'd be grateful for your opinion if this is a problem.
My Kenevo is at 95% after 200km.. I think it is not a problem..

Paolo, awesome Job answering all these questions !

I'm looking at buying a Levo in Jan or Feb (currently recovering from labrum / rotator cuff surgery #2 in 2018)

It is likely the bike will come with the latest software which as per the thread, does not allow the speed to be modified.

Is there a work-around to back-flash to a previous version that allows editing or any other work-around?

Thanks in advance for your help.

On the Apple Store there is the 3.2.0 version of BLEvo for iOS. Now you can analyze the data of your laps on the map as well.
Here are all the news

- Added the view of the data recorded on the map
- Now you can keep the statistics of all the tours stored and reviewed
- Now, after pronouncing the messages, the audio resource is released to allow you to continue to listen to other audio sources.
- Optimized the Smart HR connected to Smart Power
- Removed animation when going in bike setup and / or bike monitor
- Bugfix: Cadence was not stored in the CSV
- Bugfix: Configuration of Speed and Wheel Size values

Download the update from iTunes

Paolo, is it normal that Blevo consumes 100% battery in 4 hours? Shall I optimize something? I have Android and Samsung S8

It depends if the screen is on or not..
For the bike I bought a BV6000 that can stay with GPS and display active for 8 hours.. and it is IP68..

Paolo, I am currently having trouble pairing BLevo 3.2.1 (Android) with my Levo 2019. Pairing with MC works fine. I get a timeout error while loading the parameters, not always at the same time. An older v3 of Blevo worked fine. Same error on Samsung Galaxy S9 and Huawei M5 Pro.

Is there an known bug with this version?

Any tips?

I'm really digging the BLEvo app with my 2019 Levo Expert! I'd like to get a heart rate monitor and add that feature to my rides but I don't know what to get.
I have a cheap HR watch but I cant get it to sync with BLEvo.

I don't want to spend much as I'm not a serious fitness fanatic and I'm not particularly interested in a chest strap model.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Dear Eagerly,

Hereby some pictures with my solution...

I use a Hidemybell (which like the name says contains my bell) but next to it you can add all kind of mounting brackets as an option like for example Gopro, lights, bike computer and Topeak. In my case I have bought a Topeak Weatherproof Ride case and a 6000mAh powerbank with a very short USB cable. Maybe this solution will help you as well.

Dear Tim,

I use a Wahoo MSIP-CRM-WAH-TICKR chest strap model. It has bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity. I understood that you are actually not searching for a chest strap model but all I can say is that it works really well and it’s not irritating.

Sorry but until now the watch and ant+ protocol are not implemented in BLEvo..
You can use the Wahoo device as "Specialized guy" suggest..

Paolo,

Is the map feature for iOS only to analyze the data after the ride, or can you access the map during the ride?

Also, I noticed the hr monitor kept cutting out during the ride, but when I paused the bike monitor it picked it up again. I was using an Apple Watch for the hr monitor.

Paolo,

I purchased your app the other day and I’m having trouble connecting it to my bike. It finds the bike and starts to connect but won’t finish. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated. Not sure what else to do. Thanks

In order to do this from MC, Specy needs to update also the TCU version, because the version 2.025 doesn't send to the motor the message to change the wheel size. This message is sent only if the TCU version is 2.019.

If this is so then how do Spec deliver to different markets with different speed limits?
How would they adjust bikes do deal with evolving legislation in different countries?
So the "limiting" is happening inside the motors still via software or possibly some sort of dip switch arrangement?

Do we think these bikes will never be modified?

With no closed course (private property) use scenario allowed for it would seem Specialized are making an undesirable product here as the snuggle up with regulators and bypass the needs of consumers.
