Why should I buy a Levo / Kenevo?

Hello,
I'm looking to buy an ebike in the next 3-4 months.... Been reading up on the internet and watching plenty of YouTube.

I'm 6'2" , 110kg and 47 yrs old.... Lately I've been struggling to keep up with my nephew these days. I ride bike parks and out in the Welsh and Scottish hills.

Anyway I like the look of the Levo and Kenevo, but worried about the coil spring as I'm a bit sturdy.
Not had a test ride yet....... But what can you say to me to help me make my mind up over other brands like focus jam or canyon spectral on.

I've a budget of £4500.

Thanks in advance

I own a Kenevo and now only two Levos.
The Kenevo is just more fun, although I didn’t enjoy it at first.
You can use heavier springs for the Enduro.

I'm 47, 6ft and around 95kgs kitted up. I bought a large Kenevo and bought a bigger spring (£60). I've only had 3 rides so far - 18 miles, 2500ft, 1hr, 33mins, - 15 miles, 2000ft, 1hr, 16 mins and 17.5 miles, 2400ft, 1hr, 38 mins.

Each of those rides has left me grinning like a big kid - in the times taken for each ride, I'd have normally only managed 8-10 miles and been knackered at the end.

Bear in mind though, at your weight (no offence intended - I'm hardly a racing snake), you will eat the battery a bit quicker tan someone weighing in at 75kgs

Go for it though, massive fun - makes the up's a pleasure

Specialized bikes are an easy choice, but there are lots of other good options.

I have a kenevo, it's fantastic, probably the best bike I've ridden. It's so much fun.

Pondered for absolutely ages over which e-bike to get. One thing you have to accept is that we are still firmly in early adopter territory, everything is still up in the air, tech is moving faster than you can see whilst still only offering a very limited choice in terms of design with all manufacturers going with safe, tried and tested suspension platforms. To that end the Kenevo is just the most sorted choice i think, mainly because there is excellent support for it and it's actually very well specced for the price, but when you combine that with the available apps and the benefits they bring, and you will want them ;) it makes the Kenevo the best option by miles. Haibike is another safe option, been in the e-bike business the longest and have the most options, but none look anywhere near as cool as the Kenevo, though they are about to totally raise the bar with their 2019 bikes, but if you wait for those you'll be paying more and wasting time when you could be riding right now! :) Just buy a Kenevo, you won't be disappointed, but figure in an extra ton or so for some new tyres, it's been discussed at length on here, but to cut a long story short, you need to by some Schwalbe Magic Mary 2.6 WIRED tyres and set them up tubeless, just trust me :)

I have magic Mary's on my Transition... Love em.
My local bike shop I use only has the Orbea Wild FS bikes and I'm not keen on the appearance.... So will probably look at Berkshire bikes.

I think A coil shock is so much better especially for the heavier rider , get the right spring fitted for your wieght .
Personally I don’t agree with the just buy specialised trust me advice , but if your the kind of rider who doesn’t do any diy maintenance and needs dealer backup then it seems like a good brand to look at if you have a trusted local dealer and deep pockets .

Basic maintenance is not an issue as I'm fairly proficient at normal bike maintenance etc.... But as for all the electronic stuff I wouldn't touch those bits lol.
Specialized is just 1 of the brands I'm considering.

The new Levo could be a game changer but I’ve got a Canyon Spectral:On 7.0 due in a few weeks. Think a much higher spec for your money. Warranty could be an issue but I’ve always done all my own maintenance on my non ebikes. Can’t see any threads or reviews that claim Brose motors are more reliable. Maybe ride more naturally and are slightly quieter but I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I’m getting a bike that doesn’t need immediate upgrades. Lyrik on mine. Equivalent Spesh gets a Revelation I think. Could be wrong on that.

Hoping to look at the Spectral at the Birmingham bike show. A mate has normal spectral and loves it.
Will be interested to see the new Levo specs.

Have you checked if it’s at the show , the list of exhibitors looks even less than ever , i found it’s an expensive day to find so little at the show a few years back , very disappointed

Canyon are there but the likes of Focus , Haibike and Specialized aren't ... Shame really.
Emailed canyon UK to see if they were bringing one , but surprisingly I've had no response lol.
The show is only just down the road otherwise I probably wouldn't go.

Not so bad if your nearby , but traveling up from cornwall then getting fleeced to park and eat etc and find there’s not much to see leaves a bad taste .

Have you considered the Vitus E sommet VR
Similar type of bike, excellent reviews, in stock and easily within your budget
