The Maxima is a decent price too, have to love the MX stores.
Very cool! Interesting that they’re using the 700Wh battery.I don't have any new parts for my bike this week - I bought a new bike instead

Raymon Tarok Ultra
It comes standard with carbon wheels instead of the DT Swiss H1900 shown here, and I'm having the dealer install Sram Maven Silver brakes instead of those awful Magura Gustav brakes.
It's expected to arrive sometime in June with the first shipments—I'm incredibly excited about it

What do I hate about the Magura Gustav brakes?Lovely looking bike, what is it that you don't like about the Magura brakes ?
Fair enough, I agree that the levers are not great, out of all the brakes i've used over the years other than some old Hope mono minis Magura are the only ones that i've not had any problems withWhat do I hate about the Magura Gustav brakes?
Well, pretty much everything:
starting with that weird Carbotecture material, which tends to shatter in crashes and feels awful. Then: they look like crap, and when they’re not constantly squeaking, the brake pads rattle inside the calipers.
When they do work, they work well. But they’re a nightmare to bleed.
Other than that, they’re actually fine.![]()
Great kit and that's from NE of Scotland pedal strike champion. Not the true price due to a 5ten boot return, but still looks good as an invoice for the GF to see

Not sure what I have on this levo to be honest. I had 155 on last levo. Need a good strike once a week., think I’d have given you a run for the title before I swapped to the hope 155 cranks
I was on motor number four on last Levo. Reckon strikes are a part to blame.I’ve been joking that I got the KOM of pedal strikes at Hawes.
Was it belt failures or something else?I was on motor number four on last Levo. Reckon strikes are a part to blame.
They never tell you ,just post motor to them and new one sent back. Usually goes out with a squealWas it belt failures or something else?

I’m about out of my current lube (don’t remember what brand) so I’ll be purchasing lube soon. Did you start out with their “starter kit” or just wipe down the chain and then apply this lube? My current chain already has 650 miles so I’m not sure if I should get their starter kit or just clean the existing and apply. I’m currently using a waxed-based dry lube but only get 30-40 miles before I start hearing chain noise. It’s my first emtb so I’m not sure if lubing before every ride is just standard practice.Needed more of my chain lube of choice, Lubenschliden Darkmatter Formula 2.5. Stuff really is the best I’ve found for shedding dust and dirt. Love the process too, where you don’t strip the chain between applications. Can’t recommend this stuff enough.

I got the starter kit and the dark stuff and love it like no other lube for certain. But now have a full bottle of starter lube that I'm not sure it needed to be honest with you.. just did what the video said!I’m about out of my current lube (don’t remember what brand) so I’ll be purchasing lube soon. It’s been a while. I think I just wiped the chain down with alcohol on a rag and started applying Darkmatter. I do think the chain was better after the second application.I’m about out of my current lube (don’t remember what brand) so I’ll be purchasing lube soon. Good points, the chain seems to get seasoned and better over time as the stuff seeps into its pores! It’s been a while. I think I just wiped the chain down with alcohol on a rag and started applying Darkmatter. I do think the chain was better after the second application.
Since my chain is now fully impregnated with Darkmatter, I’ll use their Smoothlube 53/11 as a topper/maintenance lube once or twice between Darkmatter applications. No real need to do that though. Just an option the owner told me about.
Yeah even the name of the company is a little short of great. That’s about the only criticism I have of them though. The owner literally called me on a Saturday and provided a whole personal consultation!Good points, the chain seems to get seasoned and better over time as the stuff seeps into its pores!
It definitely gets things a bit smoother and quieter drivetrain wise. Also saves the step and cost of degreasing the chain every wash day. Yeah, I am thinking I am a one jug dark stuff guy going forward.

The naming could perhaps use some help. I like the sound of "Dark Stuff" or maybe "Grey Matter"..![]()
