Just ordered a Garmin Forerunner 255 to use with Orbea RS Toolbox.

Got it for £168 instead of £259 using Singletrackworkd membership discount.

1-2 weeks dispatch time, but worth the wait to save a bit of coin :)

Please do share.

Thought I did earlier 🤭

They’ve at least 20 as I just add that many to test👍

Rich.

I'm generally not a fan of rear mudguards, but after spending what felt like an eternity picking mud and pine needles out of pivots and linkages I've just ordered one from Sicomtb. I'll take it straight off again as soon as the trails dry up.

Now just away to order some OneUp carbon ebike bars, PNW Loam grips and a cheapo handheld jet blower thing for speed drying the bike.
make sure to get the one up bars with the holes in!
also try not to crash too hard on them - the hole is a bit of a weak point
(one up are good at issuing you a new bar if you do break one)

Yeah it's the ebike version I'll be ordering.

Good to know they stand by their products but I'll certainly try not to put that to test!

I'd love to have the spare money for some new wheels. I might have to order some stickers instead

Give your rims an "as new" look by polishing them with "Silicon Shine" by Muck-Off. See before and after below.
Easy Peasy. :)

Rim after Shine.jpg

This stuff works everywhere, just don't use it on surfaces that need grip (saddle, grips, discs, tread).

After my first use, I was unloading the bike in a car park and two blokes on their bikes asked if the bike was new. When I said (at the time) "two years old" they were astonished. After four years it still has the same effect. I still have the same aerosol can, still got plenty in. :)

The Fox 36 2026 mudguard doesn't fit my 2026 Rhythm. It has a different arch and the screw placement is off. I'm quite annoyed, there wasn't any caveat about not fitting certain models.
However the fork does have the bleed valves (not the valves, just the covers), so perhaps the older model mudguard might fit?? But knowing me, I will come up with some adapter combo to make this one work :D

Cable/Zip ties? Radical solution I know.

Specifically this guy but as ever with Ebay, tread carefully.

I know they're 2 front mudguards, one's a bolt on, going to make the other fit the back just to stop the mud build up behind motor and pivot bearings.
And hopefully it won't look to intrusive at the back.

Got my Crestline S180 some Oaks Components bling (red brake levers and seat post clamp). Also switched out my original SRAM AXS Dropper for the B1 version. Had an awesome shop near my house (Sickline MTB Suspension & Tuning in San Marcos, CA) resize and burnish the bushing on my Rockshox Zeb Really happy with the improved small bump compliance and improved performance of the fork.

I really loath those guys that have to color coordinate the components on their bikes😉

I’m not gonna lie. That’s pretty sexy.

A pair of SRAM Code RSC to replace the stock Shimano M4100 that came with the bike. Not the latest / greatest but hoping will be an improvement over the M4100 as there is little modulation with them. Bargain (I think) at £145 (SRAM Code RSC Disc Brake Set)

I have these on my bike (stock), the only issue I find is the bite point adjuster seems to not do a lot, otherwise they're superb. All the power you need with great modulation. The ball bearing levers are really nice too. I use mine with Magura MDR-C rotors which, for a pair, cost less than one SRAM HS2 and seem to work as well or better.

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the oneUp e and V2 carbon bars is except there holes for cables?
Looking to buy some but I don't need to run any cables, thanks

The V2 are a slightly changed design, a flatter and shorter oval area. Only the E Bar (I think pretty much V1 with holes) has the holes. The V2 has more sizes than the V1 too (20-35-50 rise).
The V1 is discounted at the mo, if you want 800 wide they are a good buy I reckon (20-35 rise).
If you are super concerned about your wrists - the extra 5% compliance in the V2 is probably worth it - I found running the E bar (V1) with Ergon GXR foam grips was the only way to fully keep my wrists happy - the ones I ran happily with my spank vibro core bars didn't cut it...
