What did you buy your ebike this week?

While wife's away skiing* with daughter, am putting a 160mm Smashpot into her D1 Lyriks. First ride after she returns will be interesting to hear what she says ~ or even notices ;) **

* left ACL has cried 'enough' so my skiing days are over :(

** another time she was away upgraded her brakes. After the first ride asked her how her brakes felt. "Very nice thanks".
I get a similar response from my very best friend also. It can be a lot of work to change a brake system …but then I’m humbled by those very same words. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Better than going over the bars the first time she used the new brakes!

She's ridden supermotos for several years so no way she'd OTB on the brakes. But saying that, many years ago we were offroad on Salisbury Plain and she hit a rut, did a semi OTB, and landed chest down on her bars. Long story short, she had to be airlifted in a chopper to Salisbury Central. Double collarbone fracture and a severed artery. Tough gurl 😍

Needed more cable ties. Didn't like the 100 pack pricing so went for the 1,000 pack which was 'on offer'. Fortunately came as 10 x 100 packs but blimey, that's a lot of cable ties to stash in the garage! Good ideas and all that

Edit: should add that also use them in the garden, hanging Christmas lights etc. Sometimes find 300mm are a little too short, so got 370mm (14.5").

Mine arrives Sunday! Perhaps it’s the audio engineer in me, but I also got a Mic Mini so I can experiment with mic placement.
Good video on setup for MTB:
I was tempted with the Mic's, but as i mostly use a chin or neck mount, I don't see me needing them?

I got so angry on 6 and since I mostly video in loop for safety reasons I'm flipping 5 pro and Oakley meta ai prizm road is in the mail 😂

Be interested on how you get on with those, the wife ordered the Ray bans last night.

New saddle to replace the Bontrager arse axe that came with the bike. Had a Fizik Alliante sitting in garage so have put that on. Strictly speaking it is a road saddle but was comfy on the XC bike so though nothing to lose.

Look massive!
I need perscription though. Also live in England, so only see the sun 3 or 4 times a year :ROFLMAO:
66 gram
They are not shades but sports/007 party glasses due to the 122 pov in the middle but phone from them asking your wife what she wants.
It's 2026😉

Amazing how many people I've seen at Hawes with Meta Vanguards since Christmas. Must have been a popular gift!

I studied in Kings Langley 3 hours from Hawes in the seventies and it's always nice to get gifts and Vanguard is a good option.
70-80 was the best period in my life.
After turn of the century...no comments.

No Haribos. :cautious:
Roeckl Winter Gloves (have 3 Roeckls in 9, great feeling but fingers min. 1/2in to long😢) & Shimano Pedals for the trekking commuter bike.
Endura Polartec Jacket (feels to light and wide) to combine with the Endura Waterproof Jacket plus a Löffler Thermo Shirt (neck to small)😏.
Crank Bros Tire Sliders.
