Hi Folks,
I have been lucky enough to get a 21 E Sommet VRS but something has really been bugging me about it and I wanted to see if anyone had similiar issues.
I'd like to charge the battery off the bike and I bought the appropiate Shimano adaptor but every time I go to take the battery off the bike I cant for the life of me figure out how to do it easily.
I need to remove the 4 bolts in the downtube attaching the Internal battery end points and move those in order to allow me to take out the battery.
Has anyone had a similar issue?, Am I just being dumb and have missed something really simple?
I'd like to use the bike to get to work and charge the battery while in work but as it is it seems like a bit of a FAF to spend 20 mins getting the battery off every time.

Thanks in advance,
N

You just remove the cover then there is one Allen key at the top of the battery which you turn clockwise about 1/4 to remove the battery. Takes about 3 mins max. You are undoing the battery mountings by the sound of it, you will have to be careful putting these back in as I believe they need to line up correctly in order that the battery release can actually work.

Hi,
I have a question weirdly similar to Nelly 1313.
I bought a used Vitus E Sommet 1919 model around a year ago.
The bike is currently in the bike shop and they need to remove the battery.
They are asking for a key to give access to the battery.
I don’t have a key! Don’t remember being given one when I bought it.
Is a key necessary to remove battery?
If not, is there some simple way to access it.
If a key is needed to remove battery what would be the best way forward?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Many thanks
John M

Blank keys work on most batteries to remove them we keep some in the shop for that reason, hopefully you have it sorted by now tho
