It looks better in the flesh but I kind of wish I’d splashed more cash on the next model up as that’s plain black. However the bike itself is awesome, very happy with mine

First thing I would do is convert to tubeless (innertubes on mine looked like they had come out of a trials bike) and swap the rear maxx grip tyre for something faster rolling

Yes this is a must to do , you save a lot of battery to change the rear tyre to something moore fast rolling.

Sorry to hijack.

about to buy one of these from Wiggle, but wondered if I should throw the extra cash at the Cube 160? Vitus is £3,200 the Cube is £3600.

Its had 25% off for the past week and the offer just ended. No doubt another will come along soon, they seem to roll different offers on different products. Clever marketing dept at CRC
I expect those clever marketing bods know what they're doing, but that kind of stunt doesn't actually play so well with me all the same. I think the original price was reasonable (compared with other bikes anyway), and it's a price I could have felt ok paying. But knowing that I'd now be paying £1250 more than I would have been just the week before would kind of make it not feel ok, so now I wouldn't do it! I'd have thought rather than a massive discount that suddenly vanishes, keeping a smaller consistent one would have been the better strategy, but clearly I know nothing about marketing.
