Does the Rogue frameset come with the Avinox 104BCD spider? The Velduro website isn't clear...

Curious why you're looking for a direct mount chainring, the lack of spider would make sense. Are there benefits to direct mount vs 104BCD?

Yes. Comes with spider and chainring and cranks.
Benefits: Aesthetics and weight. And I'm starting with 36T out the gate so changing the chainring anyway.

THIS IS FOR UK AND IRELAND ONLY, for other areas please consult your local dealer.

All "full build Rouge X bikes**" that have landed in the UK and Ireland so far came with 203mm rotors and all "frameset" kits should be fitted with 203mm rotors.

** Regarding Rogue R complete bikes only.
The first delivery of Rogue R full builds to the UK and Ireland on container one came with a 200mm rotor, this was an error. The 200mm rotor should and must be changed to a 203mm rotor which we will supply FoC to our customers in the UK. If you have purchased a Rogue R full build please contact your dealer or us directly through our website and we will arrange to supply you with a 203mm Rotor FoC.

All Rogue frames coming into the UK and Ireland from May 2026 onwards have been updated to accept either 200mm or 203mm rotors (with the correct spacer).
just to confirm the framesets arriving with the M2S in the UK take 203mm rotor, is that with a 3mm shim or is it bolt on rotor 203mm with no shim or adapter?

Does anyone know the function of the red ring? This o ring was in a pocket with my frameset.

For the people running 36t chainrings: what chainlength did you use? Did you stay with 124 or go up to 126?
124 links - shifts great.

Not sure how saving a few grammes on a direct mount chainring on a 24kg bike makes sense? I went from an alloy Lekkie 34t direct mount to a Praxis 104bcd steel 36t and really didnt notice the weight increae ;)

Apart from fine-tuning the suspension, I’ve got the Rogue ready. I’ve fitted the e*thirteen spider and bashguard for 34T with the SRAM 36T chainring, and it looks like it’s well protected.

Finally done (well almost. The Ergon GXR-L grips will go on once I am happy with the cockpit layout, since the are push on, not screwed).

The Velduro bashguard works well with the 36T chainring. Lets see if the whole motor cover is sturdy enough when I start abusing this thing though. Seemed a bit flimsy.

22.2 kg without pedals (but with the grips). Pretty pleased with that weight.

No suspension setup done yet, not even sag, just guessed at air pressures. So there is still lots of room for improvement. But already I can see from just two rounds around the block what everybody is saying: this thing really is a confidence booster. Can't wait to get the time to properly set everything up and go out to play in earnest.

Also very happy to have ordered size M (I am 178cm). I felt at home right away.

The pedals aren't following the general black/gold-theme, but I had them already and I love them, so they stay. Other than that I am pleased with the look also. I filled the time waiting for the frame with ordering screws, and was a little anxious I would overdo it with the gold, but I quite like it. The PiRope wheels fit in well too.

I think you can tell that I am very happy that I was not disappointed after more than half a year of waiting after I placed my order, despite my high expectations.

That's a great weight. Tell us about those wheels as they may have made a big difference. Looked up Pirope just now and that was the kind of something I was looking for as cleaner and better looking alternative to Berds. How much did those wheels set you back?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Velduro Rogue Frame and I’ve noticed a very slight amount of play in the central axle of the shock linkage.

The play is noticeable when I hold the frame and pull the front/main triangle up and down by hand. It feels like a small knock or looseness coming from the central linkage axle.

All bolts have been tightened to the correct torque according to the manufacturer’s specifications, so it doesn’t seem to be caused by loose hardware.

Has anyone else experienced this on the Rogue, specifically at the central axle of the shock linkage?

I’m trying to understand whether this could be normal manufacturing tolerance, or whether it may be related to the bearings, spacers, axle fit, preload, or the linkage hardware.

If anyone has had the same issue, did you find a solution? For example, checking or replacing the bearings, spacers or washers, replacing the axle/hardware, adding grease, or contacting Velduro for replacement parts.

Any advice or shared experience would be appreciated.

Thanks!
I noticed that the lower shock mount bolt can have play because the frame is so rigid it can't 100% squish the hardware. It's common in SC and Forbidden bikes but can be in others too. Make sure the bolt is greased and do it slightly tighter than the recommended torque (which is probably a little low IMO) and see if the play disappears. It might feel like the rocker since that will rotate slightly as the shock mount moves

Yeah, I really like them. I looked at Berd spokes also, but the PiRope concept convinced me way more. It's a small approachable company with very nice support. I spoke with them because at the beginning I wanted to have specific rims, and they were willing to accommodate me. In the end I went with their standard Aluminum rims (I worked in composite research for a while and know the failure modes. I will never ride composite rims, just a no go with my sloppy riding style). Those were less than 1k€, and with full approval for enduro use they are still lighter than many carbon rim competitors. If you are brave enough for carbon rims you can choose from a wide variety of rims and shave even more weight, but also easily double the price. And you can get the spokes in a lot of different colors, for the eye candy.
