Curious why you're looking for a direct mount chainring, the lack of spider would make sense. Are there benefits to direct mount vs 104BCD?

Yes. Comes with spider and chainring and cranks.
Benefits: Aesthetics and weight. And I'm starting with 36T out the gate so changing the chainring anyway.

All "full build Rouge X bikes**" that have landed in the UK and Ireland so far came with 203mm rotors and all "frameset" kits should be fitted with 203mm rotors.

** Regarding Rogue R complete bikes only.
The first delivery of Rogue R full builds to the UK and Ireland on container one came with a 200mm rotor, this was an error. The 200mm rotor should and must be changed to a 203mm rotor which we will supply FoC to our customers in the UK. If you have purchased a Rogue R full build please contact your dealer or us directly through our website and we will arrange to supply you with a 203mm Rotor FoC.

All Rogue frames coming into the UK and Ireland from May 2026 onwards have been updated to accept either 200mm or 203mm rotors (with the correct spacer).

Firm 203mm mount. No choice to make it shorter.

Not sure how saving a few grammes on a direct mount chainring on a 24kg bike makes sense? I went from an alloy Lekkie 34t direct mount to a Praxis 104bcd steel 36t and really didnt notice the weight increae

Apart from fine-tuning the suspension, I’ve got the Rogue ready. I’ve fitted the e*thirteen spider and bashguard for 34T with the SRAM 36T chainring, and it looks like it’s well protected.

Finally done (well almost. The Ergon GXR-L grips will go on once I am happy with the cockpit layout, since the are push on, not screwed).

The Velduro bashguard works well with the 36T chainring. Lets see if the whole motor cover is sturdy enough when I start abusing this thing though. Seemed a bit flimsy.

22.2 kg without pedals (but with the grips). Pretty pleased with that weight.

No suspension setup done yet, not even sag, just guessed at air pressures. So there is still lots of room for improvement. But already I can see from just two rounds around the block what everybody is saying: this thing really is a confidence booster. Can't wait to get the time to properly set everything up and go out to play in earnest.

Also very happy to have ordered size M (I am 178cm). I felt at home right away.

The pedals aren't following the general black/gold-theme, but I had them already and I love them, so they stay. Other than that I am pleased with the look also. I filled the time waiting for the frame with ordering screws, and was a little anxious I would overdo it with the gold, but I quite like it. The PiRope wheels fit in well too.

I think you can tell that I am very happy that I was not disappointed after more than half a year of waiting after I placed my order, despite my high expectations.
