The New Official BLEvo Thread

This turned out frustrating in the end. Just had a chap here to buy the bike and we struck a deal, only to be faced with Mission Control no longer being available on the app store and finding out I need a firmware upgrade in order to find/pair the bike on the Specialized app.

Problem is that the chap wanted to keep it derestricted, but I think firmware updates blocked Blevo at the time (hence keeping it on old firmware). He was happy to buy Blevo to take control of the bike, but he couldn't purchase it. Wasn't sure if it was his app store payment or if it can't be purchased now because it seems like the creator has moved on according to posts here. Does anybody know about this at all?

Guess I'll have to pay for the firmware upgrade if i want to sell it.
Hello, according to reviews on the Google Play Store, the last purchases blevo were made end of March 2026. As BruceJR mentioned, he also made a purchase recently.
I’d be cautious about firmware updates—it’s possible that your buyer will then also need the Levociraptor (chip) to drive unrestricted. Since one of the updates - blocked the BLE COM port (though I’m not sure if that’s the case with your bike model), it was the case with the Levo 3...
i hope the information is helpful

Any chance of this coming to newer bikes such as the levo 4? The only thing im searching for is the heart rate feature for training. I believe that it used to be a feature with mission control and was a factor for buying the bike

Sadly not. Spesh blocked the use of third party apps a while back via firmware upgrades and was standard on new bikes.

This was a shame as Blevo was one of the things which made the spesh ecosystem more interesting than the competition at the time. Huge and varied functionality, regular updates and bug fixes, passionate and creative developer.

Many of the things from Blevo slowly bled their way into other mainstream EMTB systems, meanwhile mission control got more buggy and removed functionality.

Spesh's reason at the time was to say it was for security reasons.

Hey - is possible on Gen 4, with Levociraptor + Blevo :

Here is the thread and some information about it.

After a year of work with the Levociraptor team, the Levociraptor Gen4 is finally available for pre-order, and the first production will arrive in a few days!

Now, thanks to the Levociraptor Gen4, you can use BLEvo with the new Levo G4, and you can continue to use Smart Power and all the other BLEvo features.

I sincerely thank the entire team and testers for making this possible.

For any information, please email [email protected] or visit www.levociraptor.com.

The BLEvo update for iOS is already available online. The update for Android will be released in a few days..

Hi
It’s been a while but I’ve finally got to back to the bike.
For some reason, my BLevo app is no longer showing height data. It is the latest version for iPhone.
If I use the Specialised app, that does show the heights and changes, so the phone itself is working.
I’ve checked in the phones Location Settings etc.
BLevo maps the GPS track correctly, but height / elevation data has gone.

Did you already update to the latest version?

In any case I will check if iOS changed something in the barometer handling

Hi
I have version 3.10.2 ios.
Going back through my rides, its only this year, this has happened.
V3.9.3 didn’t record height and my first ride was 27 April
A ride in July 2025 did record height, also under v3.9.3. A ride in Aug 27 2025 didn’t record height.
