The New Official BLEvo Thread

Sorry but I didn't read this forum for a long time.
I always alive... :p
The app is not more updated because it is stable and I'm busy on my "real" job.
If you have any question please contact me to my private email
paolo dot dozio at gmail dot com

I will try to answer to this forum in the next days.
Sorry again
@PaoloBLEvo Is it possible for you to change the location of the GPX and MAPS folder to a user accessible path..?

The current path "\Internal storage\Android\data\com.dopa.android.blevo\files\BLEvo\GPX" can only be accessed by specific file managers. I want to use OneDrive to sync (using DriveSync) the folders with my trails and maps, but they cant access the files because they are inside the Android directory and you need special permissions to access these.

Thanks...

I use Drivesync to sync android/data/com.dopa.android.blevo/files/Blevo with Google drive to make it easy to upload gpx etc. With the latest Android patch (late November) drivesync fails to find the blevo folder. Anyone else seen this or have a solution?
John
I know this is a very old post, but did you resolve the issue? I also use DriveSync and its very annoying that it cant see the GPX and MAPS folders any more. I dont know if its simple to change the app so its uses accessible folders for GPX and MAPS files.

Is using the blevo app voiding warranty?
Hello, using the blevo app does not in itself affect the manufacturer's warranty, the app is intended as a set-up aid or ride-tracking with lots of clever functions. on which bike do you want to use the app , and what exactly do you want to achieve?

No derestricting. Just reading out data mainly like motor and ride stats, temps, motor version etc. Bike is a 2022/2023 Levo Gen 3 base carbon.

Hi recently down loaded the Blevo app for my I-phone, the app was £8.99 so I presume i have the correct one. Anyway when I open the App I get the screen with the blue boxes on it Bike setup, Bike monitor, bluetooth scan, Configuration etc.. The only box that does anything is the Bluetooth scan box but when i click on it it comes up with a warning message saying Bluetooth is off please activate bluetooth (Blue tooth is not its on ) ive tried switching BT on and off etc, restarted my phone but still nothing will work, any ideas ??
Thanks in advance.

Do you have a bike with a newer TCU or the old one with the blue and red bars? I believe Blevo will not work with any of the newer TCU's.

me too in my iphone 13, I don't know if it could be from the latest Apple update, but I asked for a refund, I hope they give me my money back, because until there is an update for iPhone that works on my Levo Gen2, I have an Android phone but I don't know if I pay for it it could give me problems too, since it is a Xiaomi and I think that ANT+ is disabled in the global ROM and causes Bluetooth connection problems depending on which app you use.

Ahojte používatelia Bleva. Od roku 2023 používam aplikáciu Specialized Turbo Levo FSR na svojom telefóne Cubot Mini 3 a som nesmierne spokojný. Bol som rád, že som bicykel mohol využívať naplno. Pred rokom som si zapol meranie tepovej frekvencie a nastavil prahové hodnoty, kedy sa bicykel spustí takmer v turbo režime, aby ma to odbremenilo. Je to perfektné.
V aplikácii Mapy.com vytváram trasy z GPX máp a podľa potreby ich nahrávam do Bleva a navigujem v neznámom aj známom teréne.

Hi Paolo,
I'm using BLEVO since 2019 on a T-Levo 2018 and am very happy with it. Meanwhile the stored tour data is using so many internal storage that I want to erase it for years 2019 to 2023.
Can I just delete the data using a file manager?

Yes buy if you delete the CSV files, you will lost all the tour information.
I can suggest to store them on some cloud.
Just for my curiosity, how many tours you did with BLEvo?

starting mid 2019 meanwhile 781 tours, 29.128 km and 344.935 hm.
Last week I had to make a tour without BLEvo - caused by a problem with the phone - it was such a great difference to have only fixed support. So I hope the Bike will stay for the rest of my bikelife ;-)

Question for Blevo programers...
If I get the blevo remote, can I set blevo to give me Dymanic Micro Tune .on a gen 2 levo? So keep Motor power at 100 but increase assistance in 10 with the remote?

Hi Paolo,
Just bought BLEVO app for my Turbo gen 3 2020. Can you please explain what is the relationship between the Normal profile config and the other profiles ie. BLEVO 100, BLEVO smart , Advanced users, etc.
When connect to bike only the BLEVo profiles, Advanced users, Profile 1-4 on the list. So the very tired, tired, normal, etc when or how they are being used !
Thanks

Hopefully this BLEVO thread is still active!! Looks like a good place for my issue.

I have a Turbo CREO SL. I recently removed my main battery to get ready to travel with my bike. I went for a test ride with the extender battery and everything worked fine. Except… when I cycle through the power assist settings the BLEVO app will not go to OFF. So, I can go up to ECO/TRAIL, BLEVO announces it and the app displays the new setting. Same with going up to Turbo, it displays correctly and I can power down to TRAIL/ECO and it works fine but when I go to OFF the BLEVO app stays on TRAIL/ECO. Even thought TCU LED display shows that the power is OFF.

I have turned off the phone and the bike and reconnected several times. No change. I even rebooted my phone, hopefully forcing BLEVO to close and restarted the phone and reconnected. Still no change. BLEVO will not display (or announce) OFF mode, even though the TCU LED display says it is OFF.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Sorry just for my information, are you riding only with the external battery? Is the problem present if you ride with the main battery installed?

Yes, just the external battery now, but I have ridden with just the external battery before and BLEVO worked fine.
This morning I did a soft reset of the TCU (held the power and on/off button for 20 sec) but did not fix it.

I rode today and all functions worked, except correctly displaying OFF. So, from BLEVO I could go up/down 5% while riding, going to TRAIL worked, etc... One thing I noticed is that when I powered down the bike then BLEVO would announce that the assist level was OFF, and immediately follow that with the voice prompt "bike disconnected". So, it seems to me to be a TCU issue, somehow TCU is not sending the OFF signal to BLEVO??? Anyway to trace/debug the signals BLEVO gets?

So far:
- reinstall BLEVO = not fixed
- soft rest TCU = not fixed
- disconnect external battery for 15 mins = not fixed

Next steps:
- factory reset TCU (hold power and assist level buttons for 45 sec)
- re-attach the main battery

I think the detach of the main battery is not well handled in BLEvo. I never tested this case because it is not so easy (at least for my Lenevo SL)..

It's been a while, but I finally put the main battery back in. The nice "BLEVO Lady" now announces all power levels, and OFF.
I may be travelling with the bike again and have to remove the main battery, so I may be able to test it with just extender again.
Anyway, wanted to follow up since you took the time to reply to my message.

Has anyone got any advice on best practice when selling a bike using Blevo? Thing is, I never updated the firmware (Specialized Levo HT 2019), so it was still able to 'do its thing'. Not touched the app since initial setup but new owner my prefer to be on the Specialized app, so i'm not sure what to expect, what I need to do to either tell new owner to buy Blevo and manage the bike through that, or revert to standard app if they prefer. Any thoughts and experience swill be much appreciated.

Hi,
In my opinion, you're worrying too much.
If you've tuned your bike with Blevo, I'd reset the tuning to comply with legal requirements and sell it that way. If you've only used Blevo to track your rides, then the new owner can do whatever they want and use Mission Control or the Specialized app. Blevo is a legitimate third-party app, just like Garmin and others, so it shouldn't be a problem for you at all. Cheers

Just BLEvo or also the Levociraptor? For sure removed the device and just reset everything and update the firmware.

This turned out frustrating in the end. Just had a chap here to buy the bike and we struck a deal, only to be faced with Mission Control no longer being available on the app store and finding out I need a firmware upgrade in order to find/pair the bike on the Specialized app.

Problem is that the chap wanted to keep it derestricted, but I think firmware updates blocked Blevo at the time (hence keeping it on old firmware). He was happy to buy Blevo to take control of the bike, but he couldn't purchase it. Wasn't sure if it was his app store payment or if it can't be purchased now because it seems like the creator has moved on according to posts here. Does anybody know about this at all?

Guess I'll have to pay for the firmware upgrade if i want to sell it.

I just bought the app a few weeks ago.
