Sram Nx or Shimano xt ?

Makes you wonder with AXS if Sram couldn't come up with a wireless take on the grip shift, maybe more of a paddle that you can nudge up and down with your thumb that a whole section of the grip, bit like the throttle you see on some electric scooters

After a few miles and setting the gears up properly I get it now, its strange how intuitive it becomes to use the index finger for firing down the cogs, once you get used to the finesse needed to change up 1 or more cogs ( without load) its actually a pleasure to go up more than one gear but also just as easy to click one cog at a time.
As for being worlds apart in the quality stakes I can honestly say my sram nx set up on my old bike was faultless slick and silent for 1900 miles provided maintenance was correct. Roll on the next 2000 miles and spring (y)

Quite agree, Mak - I've had Shimano XT (among others) on my bikes over the years, and I don't think NX lacks for anything in comparison.

It's different, but it's just as good in my experience.
