Other Specialized store delivery - how does it work?

Hello guys,

I am planning to order a frameset on Specialized website and getting it delivered to a different country to where I live (going there soon for a trip).

How does it work when it comes to delivery? Are you notified about frameset being ready from the LBS or directly from the specialized website? Also, do I need to consider any activity from the LBS like firmware activation and similar?

Do you have any experience?
