I've heard from emtb central intel that you can hire Spesh batteries in Derby, TAS.

Obviously both bike & battery hire is great for tourism & local employment. I can't see any negatives.
So the question - ok a leading question as in the title:

Specialized Store & EMTB destination battery hire. Good idea?

Do you think that significantly cheaper generic batteries come on the market? I have a std Levo battery and I would love a 700w; but not at £1,100!

Be nice also for hassle free battery comparison testing and also if you just wanted to hire a second battery for a day/weekend/week trip where you might need a longer battery, but wouldn't want to purchase one because you wouldn't need it for your normal riding routine.
