At the moment I run 700 watt battery with update firmware ,I also have 500 watt as spare would it cause any problems if I was to use this during winter to keep charges down on mine as I don’t go so far and seem to keep doing half charges ( 500 watt one has not been updated from new )

Should be no problems whatsoever, just make sure you keep 700wh battery charged at around 50% and check chage every few months ...
